Closing NoteWonderful taglines! We'll be seeing these in the future in our marketing! DescriptionWe're looking for a short tagline for Iron Sky. As you know, our Pitch is: "In 1945 the Nazis went to the Moon. In 2018 they are coming back!", but that's a bit too long for tagline. Taglines are usually something shorter, like: "The Future Begins" (Star Trek) or "The End Begins" (Terminator Salvation) or "Big Cops. Small Town. Moderate Violence. " (Hot Fuzz) Etc. So, I'd like to ask for suggestions for a short tagline for Iron Sky - something to do with the fact that we have Nazis on the Far Side of the Moon, and they're coming back all guns blazing. Here's a small stash of cool words that could serve as an inspiration: - "Dark Side" - "Far Side" - "Fourth Reich" - "Blitzkrieg" etc. The task is: give us your Shot on the Iron Sky tagline. It shouldn't be longer than 4-6 words, preferably one sentence. Something that kicks ass HARD. (This is an open-ended task, since we might need different taglines as we move forward with the production, so no deadline set!) This task is closed. Shots I think I finally found a perfect one...It's Time to get Moonstruck! This pun hints to the lunacy of the Lunar nazis and the film as a whole, as well as to Meteorkrieg but without spoiling too much. Forget Blitzkrieg...Forget Blitzkrieg! It's so WW II...

How would the Americans react if Moon Nazis were to attack? What would be the first headlines (with a humoric spin)? I'll never forget The Onion's historic 1969 headline: "HOLY SHIT! Man Walks on Fucking Moon!". That's reference enough, i think... Yeah, I suggested that too a long while ago, the shot's buried quite deeply now though. :) As long as the poster shows that it's the Nazis, then it's enough to just say "they're back" because everyone knows who they are.  More adapted ...Instead of Blitzkrieg, wouldn't Meteorkrieg be cool as a tagline? :) CommentsWell... yes. :) Are they attacking with meteorites? :) It's giving away their method for attacking the earth. But doesn't all already know that the Nazis are coming back, so how exactly does it giving away the plot? :) Well, it would tell the audience exactly what the Nazis are going to do. By far the best tag line. Slogan's pretty good, but why do you need to change it to evil? Surely the tagline works better if it's "The Eagle has Landed"? Aaaaand we have a winner! The slogan is pure gold. But the poster should be clearer that it's about the moon and the nazis - It has to be instantly understandable for someone who has never before heard of Iron Sky and doesn't know the premise of the movie. The easiest and laziest way of doing this would be to put a swastika at the eagle's chest and make the moon clearer and brighter (less like a ball of iron). BTW - I so wish one could add media to comments. I could photoshop some crude poster suggestions in minutes, but now i'd have to add a completely new shot... Nice, man! uber nice! heh - that was some idea! I like it... "Fourth Reich Rising" ...I don't remember if I or somebody els have suggested it before, but here is a nice tagline: "Fourth Reich Rising" ... The Nazis assumed that Poland belonged to Germany, so when they were attacked by defending Polish forces whilst conducting military excercises in 'East Bohemia', they took that as an excuse to widen the scope of their 'excercise' to include the occupation of the rest of Poland.

Yup, that's cool because it's shorter. Being short makes it very striking, but but perhaps it's even too short. I had that in mind, but thought it might be pointing too much to the audience instead of the world depicted.
I'd call it a matter of taste between those two, and I'm not telling my longer line is necessarily better.
"Get Moonstruck" would be cool.
