Everyone probably knows the photographs that human-built probes and robots have sent back from Mars. They look no different than any snapshot you would take in your back yard, and they are even based on the same technology. Wouldn't it be great if we had devices like that on every known planet and moon?

Solar System 3D (working title) is a documentary about the planets of our solar system. It revolves around the questions where these heavenly bodies came from and where they will go; if they are habitable and if there is a chance for some of them to host life forms of their own (however primitive). To find answers, we will also look at the most impressive galactic phenomenae and explain their workings.

The premise of this production is a slightly sci-fied futuristic setting in which cameras actually exist on every major planet and moon, and the show's host guides us through their most interesting features.

Speaking of which; the visuals will be three-dimensional, highly detailed adaptations of the most impressive images from NASA/ESA. The team behind these computer generated stereo graphics has also worked on the award-winning documentary PINA by Wim Wenders. So we kind of know what we're doing ;D

Also, Solar System 3D is a new production of the creators of SNOWBLIND and VAMPYRE PRINCESS here on Wreckamovie. Since we weren't able to get a satisfactory budget for VP3D through Snowblind, we have started this intermediate project. So the goal - apart from having a lot of fun doing this production - is to gain more experience and in the best case, money for the Vampyre Princess.
