A web series with a supporting web site about film, television and other productions which are opening up the casting process and inviting auditions from anyone, by video submission.

Each episode of the web series might include:

--a summary of the latest opportunities,
--an interview with a film/television director, producer or casting director about why they might use video auditions,
--tips on making an excellent video audition and
--maybe an interview with someone who has successfully been cast via their video audition.

Also it might be fun to encourage people to submit their audition for consideration as a featured audition and include it in the episode.

--Plus other suggestions of course.

The web site would contain lists of video auditions, links to past episodes and lots of other content to be determined.

This project will provide opportunities for, amongst others, film makers, researchers, presenters, actors, social networking experts, web content experts, designers and developers who could be from almost anywhere in the world.

My skills are in web development, particularly with open source software (eg Joomla content management) and film production - editing (fcp) and production management, administration and accounting.

So if this sounds interesting to you please join this project - I'm really keen to get it happening but need lots of help! :)
