Pasi Pitkänen is a Finnish composer & sound designer who creates music and sound effects for films, games and other media. He started composing music in the late 90's with multi-track digital sound trackers (Scream Tracker, Impulse Tracker). Ever since he has experimented with different music genres from electronic to rock.

Pasi has been an avid gamer and a movie watcher for his whole life so in the autumn of 2008 it was obvious that he would orientate himself towards composing music for films and games. He quickly gained projects from independent movie groups, companies and bands around the globe.

In the autumn of 2009 Pasi began his four-year 'Digital Sound and Commercial Music' studies at Tampere University of Applied Sciences.

In early 2010 Samuli Jomppanen from Aeonvisuals asked Pasi to compose music to his 3D animated short film 'Materia'. Materia gained popularity in the internet and was praised for its great visuals, sfx & music and its general atmosphere. In the summer of 2010 Pasi composed a jazzy score for RVL Games's hidden object game 'Jane Croft: The Baker Street Murder'.

Currently Pasi works as a professional composer & sound designer and continues to provide high quality custom made music and sound effects for films, games and other media. He also works as a beta tester / demo composer for a Dutch sample library developer Sonokinetic.
