Karl was once a successful banker with the perfect house, the perfect wife, and the perfect career. Becoming but a shadow of his former self he’s lost everything, uncompromisingly embarking down the path of personal destruction of lies and deceit. He’s sacrificed everything to his crutch and a half empty glass in the pursuit to maintain a standard of living he has become accustomed to. The only two things in this world that hold true for him are the concern and love from his childhood friends, Sheri and Randy, who convince Karl to take a trip to pay his respects to his deceased grandmother and take possession of his inheritance, the farm.
With the belief he has escaped the dour and foreboding reality of his foreclosed home, bills, alimony arrears, and criminal allegations of co-mingling and raqueteering, he quickly settles into his new surroundings. In the company of his friends he revels with his newly re-acquainted cousin Mäki, who unintentionally becomes his augur, leading him to the discovery of a lost relic hidden in the bowels of the farm, and the unleashing an ancient evil that has been dormant for more than 100 years.
