Arr, me hearties!

I'd like to begin by airing out any ground rules and expectations: I most enjoy what is nowadays called: nominal brainstorming, the writers bull session, throwing out ideas and hammering them into shape together, much as you seem to be requesting. Therefore, as idiotic as it sounds, it seems I actually need to ask: if I join in, participate and work together with you all, can I count on others to simply try to hold up each one's end of the conversation instead of quickly losing interest and trailing off from each new shot in turn? I ask, because this has been a problem, and expectations to the contrary are invalidated by consensus here on this forum.

As soon as we can clarify the above, I'd like to start by tightening up your logline.

Also, if only first we can see eye to eye, procedurally, it would also be great if you'd reciprocate by joining in at my production, 'Rogue Earth'.

Please advise.

Yes, a story at all must be regarded as essential.

Sorry for the delay, i just moved and got my internet on. I'm ready to start the brainstorming. My plan is to come up with the story and then together come up with a trailer idea shot by shot. it will be heavily done with special effects. So lets get started

I do agree about leaving egos at the door, as the saying goes. And that cuts all ways. But what the heck are: "ceaseless on-line terms"? In any case, narrative, as in solid script writing, being the first essential of production, remains an application of sustained discourse, not piece work or solitary division of labor. So I'm all in for joining in with your writing team for nominal brainstorming, for the writer's bull session online, because that's the kind of work environment in which I do my best work as a writer. And that is my only immediate and intrinsic personal motivation here, given work on spec with no money up front. So please make no mistake: obviously collaborating parties must be serious and keep at it rather than simply fading away and losing interest or keeping a commanding distance. Anyone willing to consider my terms, please let me know. Anyone who's not really interested or serious, I'm glad to find out sooner rather than later. So show me what you've got!

Actually, I have less time for ceaseless on-line terms, we can schedule something out.

Personally, I believe, if people are enough humble for the greater purpose, it can work.

Tock and other numerious questions...

Is Tock a robot created by Gideon?

Is the focus of the story going to be about what happens when Gideon returns?
If so how do you want to handle the pre-story, flashbacks, all up front?

Why his love became a pirate?

Maybe work on some history of this world, just a little to frame some ideas on.

I guess we can break down aspects of the story first. Deside what direction for it to go into.
Example, pirates leaves town, Gideon chances and the priate sends the former love to confront him.

As far as ideas for the world, I was imagining world kind of spread out like the mid-evil ages, but people would build towns in interesting places like on mountain sides, and they wouldn't all be under one rule but have a council with no real leader. (maybe gideons devotion to getting rid of the pirates towards the end could be what brings them together and maybe his is named king, or whatever.) I figure his love became a pirate because she fell for the main pirate over time, im picturing the main pirate to be similar to bill the butcher of gangs of new york.

As far as Tock goes, i havent really found a place for him in the story yet, but I really want to incorporate him as a constant side kick that doesn't talk. I'm just worried of him being like jar jar binks. So one step is i think tock should be limited to no voice, maybe he can just clank and blow steam. i am very open to ideas.
