DescriptionWe now have an entry in Wikipedia thanks to Jani & Co, see discussion here: http://www.wreckamovie.com/shots/show/3849 Now we need to get it translated to other languages. Go ahead and give it your shots here.
ShotsFrench versionThe translation is ready but I have some trouble updating the links (especially in the "Notes" part)... Could anyone help? It's finally DONE: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wreckamovie Thanks - Now make English and Finnish entries betterA standing ovation to Timo-Heikki Mäkelä who single-handedly wrote the excellent English and Finnish WAM wikipedia entries! And thanks to everyone who chipped in. SO SAY WE ALL!!! Now, the task is to improve the entries, and each and everyone can chip in - after all, wikipedia is the "encyclopedia anyone can edit". On the priority list:
- Adding production pages to links. I'd recommend productions that use WAM actively, are actually in production, with real chances of completion and something to show for it. - Adding more relevant info references. Suggestions appreciated. - Updating the entries when there's significant news. (I just added the Rising Star of the North award info). CommentsThis shot doesn't have comments. |

Delphine, you can only buy christmas chocolate in November and December, so if you're here at other times of year you won't see it.
It's a standard Fazer chocolate slab with apple, gingerbread, almonds, spices etc... every sweet flavour of Christmas. Definitely my favourite Fazer chocolate type... :)
"And I don't get sick with chocolate!" - That's what all the kids say before ending up puking for days.. Sorry, can't take the risk..
Looking at some German wiki articles, the code seems the same as in English, but the references list is done like this:
== Einzelnachweise ==
Fazer Christmas Chocolate? Didn't even know it existed...
Kris, we should seriously talk about making a movie on Finland's culinary treasures!
Delphine, if you liked the berry chocolate I'd strongly recommend you ask for some Fazer Christmas chocolate. :)
Come on, it's almost Joulu! And I don't get sick with chocolate!
Seriously, I have a conference next week-end and not much time, but I promise I'll give it a try. I just hope the german version of wikipedia has the same code as the english one for the links. Otherwise, I'll smash my laptop again the wall.
Delphine - I'd send it, but i'm afraid you'd get all bloated and sick after 5 kilos of chocolate, and couldn't do the translation. I promise to bring you some when you come visit Finland, though!
Would you send some Fazer chocolate (the one with berrys in it) to me? 4 or 5 kilos should be enough...
Great job Delphine!! Wonderous job... Amazing...
How much do i have to flatter you so that you'll also do the German translation?
Did I mention you did a heck of a job and have the coolest name ever?
Thanks for your help, I think I corrected the links. It should work properly now.
Some references (like Iron Sky or Timo Vuorensola) do not exist in French, but I still let the links appear. I will look to translate those pages when I have time.
French are chauvinists, it's no secret. I'll check that and I will hopefully have a brand new version online this week end!
Now i figured the problem out: The French wikipedia has some of it's code in French (Aargh!).
So the links list has to be:
==Notes et références==
{{Références}}
I don't know if you have to chance any other code. Links are "lien", categories are "Catégorie" and so forth. Why don't you just publish it and we can edit it directly in wikipedia.
Well, I've just copy-pasted the links from the english version... It should work, shouldn't it? But the fact is, it doesn't...
Oops, sorry, my previous comment made no sense because I misread this shot...
I guess the simplest way of adding the links is to copy their code from the original document.
The Notes section is created automatically by adding the following lines (below the awards section in the english version):
== Notes (in french, of course) ==
{{Reflist}}
All links should automatically appear there.
You can add a new link in this format:
{{cite news |url=http://www.wreckamovie.com/productions/list/all/most_active|author= |title=Productions listed on Wreckamovie|work=Wreckamovie |accessdate=2009-10-16}}
If you're going to refer to the same link many times, you have to first put a line in the following way:
{{cite web |url=http://www.wreckamovie.com/guidelines |title=www.Wreckamovie.com/Guidelines |publisher=Star Wreck Studios Oy Ltd|accessdate=2009-10-16}}
For each additional link to this address, just add:
Hmm... if you can't get it to work at all just post it as a separate shot...?
