Closing NoteGood Stuff everyone. Lets see what the community thinks. DescriptionThis is task for improving the Intro page. This task is closed. ShotsHere's the final intro pagesHere's both of them. Texts are final as well. Here's new intro page sil vous plait.Hi! Here's new versions of the INTRO and CAUSE page. CAUSE page still needs graphics, which I will be able to put there on thursday. FAQ page can be just our existing FAQ page for now, and 'PRESS' page doesn't have to be there just yet. Timo. CommentsAnd please notice, on INTRO page there isn't supposed to be the 'Cause'-text there is now, but I'm supposed to say that: "Hi, I'm Timo, the Director of Wreckamovie.com!" And .psds as well.Hope you can manage to get these working! Let me know if you need any changes there, on text or gfx or something. And Jarmo can if he wants to think of the gfx. Oh crap......a little problem here. You can't attach media to a shot after you've submitted it. So if you, like I just did, and forgot to attach media to the previous shot, try to edit it, there's no possibility to attach media after that. Propably pretty important thing to fix. But here's the new intro page + psd of it. Please also notice that there's big empty slots for big attractive pictures there, which I need to talk through with Jarmo. Once again, new Introduction pageOk, here's my new Introduction page. What you see here is that I've actually approached the page totally from another perspective. I think there are some levels of things we need to provide to the user: 1) What is it and how does it work? To this question I try to answer as clearly as possible in just few words - I like the idea of introducing myself, and keeping a personal touch to all the texts inside SWS introduction. But then, I move straight to the main point - how does this work, exactly. That's what they came for here, and that's what they find here. But as you can see, I've shared this page into tabs, just lika all the other pages in SWS, so if people want to know more after that, we have good set of additional info available. 2) What are you guys after I think this is not important for many users who just come around and want to collaborate, so I don't want to bother them with our philosophy or ideas. But there are many out there - like people from press, and people like myself, who want to understand more why this exists. So I've put the second page to be the 'Cause'-page, where I would write much more about the philosophy and beliefs we have in general (which have proven to be pretty interesting to many, I've been talking about them in over 100 seminars around the world and people really like to hear that kind of straight talk). 3) Other issues FAQ seems to be pretty standard type of page in this kind of information dump -area, so putting it up there wouldn't hurt. 4) What do other people say about this This is also somethign I came across to in many places, and this is basically a this kind of a page: http://www.simplifymedia.com/news.html So putting it up there isn't bad, either. So this is my shot on this page. Please see also http://www.wreckamovie.com/tasks/show/3#shot_29 for the front page new mockup. Intro Page Text (steve's shot)1) Sign Up Explore a bit of the site and then Sign up. You can tell the community who you are and what you are interested in (we call these interests Wreckupations). This means we only have one production posted (Iron Sky) in order to get the system up and running smoothly. Soon we will let you add your own productions and gather your own collaborative communities around them. My three-page version. Here's my 3-page version. Text is: WELCOME Hi! My name is Timo, the Director of Wreckamovie.com. Ok. Get to the point, I’m busy. ABOUT WRECKAMOVIE.COm Wreckamovie.com is a collaborative film production platform. A What...? CUT THE CRAP... Actually, I don't think it's any good for me or anybody to define anything until you've tried it out yourself. So I pass the mic over to you - take a look at our system, and decide yourself what it's good for. But first, let me tell you a bit why it exists and how it works. REMEMBER STAR WRECK? About ten years ago we - that's me, Samuli, Atte, Jarmo and some other freaks from Finland - started to work with a film called Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning. We wanted to do the greatest film in the world, but had no idea on how to. So we asked some help from the Internet, and made our dreams reality. Star Wreck was released on the Internet for free in 2005. I have to admit it wasn't propably the best film in the world, but got pretty darn close to it. 8 million downloads later, we thought that wouldn't it be cool if everyone could make the film like we did, with the help of Internet collaboration? Thus was born the idea of Wrecking Movies. THIS IS HOW WRECKAMOVIE.COM WORKS 1) SIGN UP First thing you need to do after you've scanned the site a bit is to sign up.
2) COLLABORATE Now you can go out and collaborate with others. Just find an interesting production, find out what kind of tasks there are, and give your best shot! 3) CREATE YOUR OWN PRODUCTION WRECK A MOVIE IS IN ALPHA. This means we only have one production posted in order to get the system up and running smoothly. Soon we will let you add your own productions and gather your own collaborative communities around them. Ok, that's it. Now it's your turn! START WRECKING |

Looks like I'm missing some of the fonts in your .psd. It shoudn't matter though.
