In this task you can post any reference pictures (photographs, art, sketches, blueprints,...) of WWII/1940s and older objects, buildings, people and whatever you can think of that could fit the concept of a secret Nazi military research base in the Antarctica.
We've been getting a bunch of great photographs and other references in the General ideas task already, but I wanted to add a separate task for this because these can be quite handy for us. Hunting for references is always time away from modeling and designing, so this is very helpful indeed!
Some categories that are really great to have are:
* Furniture
* Military facilities and bunkers
* Vehicles
* Mundane items such as tools and utensils
* Scientific instruments
Please include source links for pictures that are not of your own creation - these are used just for reference, but it's still cool to know where the pics came from. Also, if you know of a site with lots of good pics, you can just post a link to that site (preferably directly to the gallery of pics).

That's the entrance to a mine-shaft elevator (aka 'cage')
WTF is that?
Aah! It's a Kaue (miner's bath house) where they rinse down their equipment.

This is a post-ww2 German mine, but it still looks cool enough that you could be inspired.

OK, I'll let you know.
That sounds awesome!
If it's not too much a hurry, I might get there within a few weeks, and can take some shots.
Very cool reference! It would be awesome to get more photos from there if it's not too much trouble, they'd be useful for level design and inspiration.
might be, Saint Nazaire is one of the three spots in France being big nazi base, and one of the two (iirc) "poches de résistance" (it means the german nazis were trapped in it but still fight even after the coallition attack).....
OK, I'm just discovering how much I miss english vacobulary about WWII!!
was this location used in Indiana Jones and James Bond films? Looks so familiar :D
