DescriptionWe all modifying the script to introduce the concept of an escape vehicle built from a 70's ear pickup truck. We are looking for something fairly rough and Mad Max like Anyone interested in coming up with a design?
ShotstruckA bigger pic of the basic idea i had(noticed how small the link i posted really was lol). Can make a more detailed design if this is what you are looking for. ideano no no, Kübelwagen? go for the awesome Schwimmwagen:-) Anyways, if you look at earlier armored cars, they were litterally civillian cars with welded on armor, should be easy to get some inspiration from this one for instance: I cant really draw, but willing to try to make a design that will work, as long as you have someone who can refine it:-) Commentsin addition, what about some innovative weaponry? electrified armor plating(internal generator) a "plow" in the front to...well plow hostiles:-)
Made a quick layout for my idea. Drew in gunports, as i have no idea of what weaponry etc and how many there are. angular armor, doors welded, hatches cut in roof. 2 things that i couldnt show in the pic:a) Wheels, using regular wheels is ridiculous, as an armoured pickup that cant move is going to have a really really bad day... Have an idea of making a wheel made of a modified rim, coated with the tirerubber.bumpy, but a bullet wont ruin it. b) Low center of gravity. An armored truck needs to be high enough that it will not get problems on obstacles, BUT this gives it a very high center of gravity(especially with a pillbox/turret on the back)
Old American truckAn old american truck will be OK. But......how about a german Kubelwagen jeep??? CommentsVery interesting Volkswagen made a remodel of this Not really a Kubelwagen, but take a look:
When I was a kid, we had a lot of "safaris" ( a mid 70's version of Volkswagen's Kubelwagen) here in Mexico. Its a cool vehicle! |
