The Iron Sky -team is looking for your ideas and comments. Join and show your support for Iron Sky. 5D in New York! This task is closed
Closing NoteSince it turned out this never really took off, we'll be grabbing our own cameras and heading over to NY to shoot some plates ourselves! DescriptionNew Yorkers with 5D – Iron Sky needs... no, wants you! Part of Iron Sky story takes place in the Greatest City in the World – New York! For that, we've shot carefully handpicked locations all over the world, but we've never actually had the possibility to shoot in New York itself. But to be able to create the illusion of actually being in New York, we need to attach New York backgrounds to shots we've shot in post production. And to attain these clips, we need your help. Here's the list of things we need – difficulty level adjusted according to the Greatest Game in the World – Doom! LEVEL 1: I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE
United Nations Building – Wide Lense, Low Angle shot; imagine you're photographing the Tower of Mordor. Manhattan skyline, from approximately eye level, in the night time Manhattan skyline, from approximately eye level, in the daytime These are just photographs. Perk: You will be publicly thanked in our Iron Sky Signal -show. ...and, if your shot is used in the film, you'll be credited under Additional Photography -credits in the credits. LEVEL 2: HEY, NOT TOO ROUGH
We will use these clips as part of a time change montage over New York. Perk: You'll receive a signed War Bond as a thanks for your War Effort.
...and, if your shot is used in the film, you'll be credited under Additional Photography -credits in the credits. LEVEL 3: HURT ME PLENTY

Video shot from the back of the car, driving the streets of New York in the night. This material we'll use as back plates for our driving shots. See the attached file for clear instructions. Perks:
...and, if your shot is used in the film, you'll be credited under Additional Photography -credits in the credits. LEVEL 4: ULTRA-VIOLENCE
We're using the material in order to create a similar “establishing sequence” as the opening sequence of Die Hard 3 and Phone Booth. Perks:
...and, if your shot is used in the film, you'll be credited under Additional Photography -credits in the credits. LEVEL 5: NIGHTMARE
To be honest, I'm not sure if this is even legal nowadays, and that anyone would be willing to spend time doing this, but if you are about to do it, before going out, give us a holler – we'll fill you in detail on what kind of shots we need so we don't end up wasting your time. Perks:
...and, if your shot is used in the film, you'll be credited under Aerial Cinematography -credits in the credits. You'd very probably be the only one under this credit. Let's see what Wreckers can do! Engage! But before you go, READ OUR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (attached in this task). If they are not being met, unfortunately, we won't be able to use the material. Delivery through Wreckamovie, or directly at me (timo@ironsky.net - don't send big files over email, just the link plox). This task is closed. |
