Deleting attachments doesn't seem to work

I created a task containing a .pdf and a .doc file for download. The second file wasn't the right one so I tried to delete it with the "delete" button in "edit task". It then asked if I was sure, but when I clicked "ok", nothing happened - even after I pressed "save changes" to continue, the attachment was still there.

I tried it with Firefox and Safari. It this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Cheers,
Kalle-Max

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell about the problem!

There was no problems when I tried it, but going through the logs gave me a clue about the problem and it is now fixed.

Please try again now, it should work.

"Change Password" doesn't work!

If you press "Change Password" on your profile page it says "page could not be found" or something like that...

Thanks for taking the time to send a bug report.

You can change your password by pressing "Edit Profile" on your profile page and then going to "PASSWORD" tab. Or just go to URL http://www.wreckamovie.com/account/edit/password while logged in.

I'll fixed the broken link and the fix will be pushed live within a few days.

Thanks again for letting us know!

Profile pictures out of place

Pictures of user profiles are not in correct place when looking at shots. (See attached screenshot). It makes reading of the shots quite impossible when the picture is on top of the shot.

OS is Mac OSX 10.5.6 and browser is Safari v3.2.1

Yup now it works. Thanks

I take back my comment! It's not true anymore!
:D
(How do I press rescind?)

Vesa Nieminen March 29, 2009 14:19 Flag

Sorry for this. It is now fixed.

I was unifying the way we show user pictures and the CSS class for shot page was set wrong and I didn't notice :(

Jenny Stavaeus March 28, 2009 23:46 Flag

Also the case in IE, but this only happened in the past few days so not sure if it's related to the site upgrade.

Jack Malinowski March 28, 2009 17:45 Flag

Totally True.
(And being unable to 'thumb up' is frustrating)

Production links

Everytime you see a production poster you should be able to link to the production itself.

I was trying to get to this Wreck a movie production and give some feedback. lazy as I am I tried I clicked WAM News page (http://www.wreckamovie.com/news/wreckamovie_archive) link and tried to get to this production by clicking the poster but there was no link.

Cool :)

Vesa Nieminen March 12, 2009 19:36 Flag

We discussed about this and agreed that production poster should always link to the productions info page and that is how it is working currently (and has been for 2 minutes :)

Spelling mistake in guidelines

Please refer to screen shot for url and location of mistake.
I'm usually not fussed about spelling but the line where it says"YOU ARE SHARING FEELY"

I think it should be "YOU ARE SHARING FREELY", unless you do want people to share their feelings :)

Adding links adds extra line breaks

(Is Wreck A Movie still alpha?? Any this is task for bugs)

When pasting a long link to a shot some times the link gets additional line break. See shot

http://www.wreckamovie.com/shots/show/1097

The link seemed to work in that shot, but it was due to server being nice.

Usually I copy paste the long links to a text editor and make sure they are on one line, but in this case I am not sure. Anyway it had special characters in it. And I do not know what happens to the text when you press "Accept and submit"

BTW The button is not rendered correctly in my browser Firefox 3.0.4 and on Linux

Vesa Nieminen December 03, 2008 14:04 Flag

All characters of an URL must be in a row. On that shot there was an line break in the middle of the URL so the end part wasn't included to the linked part. It is fixed now. That is not the say that there might not be some problems with url-recognition.

P.S. We are not alpha. I should propably close this one down, and open a generic bug task.

Old news on front page

For my surprise I saw a topic "New Film! Sauna Added" on the front page and when I followed on the link:

http://www.wreckamovie.com/productions/wreck-a-movie-platform/news/8

the page had a date "Posted April 15th". This is not news anymore, unless somebody made a new definition for news :)

It was editing event. Stephen Lee edited "New Film! Sauna Added", but it is still a bug because it was I who edited it.

Telling about editing news items, shots and so on was some kind of brainfart we had when designing those. I think I´m going to remove those when I do some other changes to front page events stuff (closing a task is not shown), unless somebody has anything against it?

Unread comments to your shots

I noticed that when you comment someone's comment, that is in a shot you have started, it shows in My Wreck in unread comments to your shots. I don't know if that is the intention, but I'd prefer that WAM would recognize it if you have commented under your own shot and not report it.

This is a bug that was introduced when we introduced separated pages for individual shots. It is fixed now and will be released soon.

Private shots

For my surprise i received a message like this "You must be a member of private group Fleet Development Team to access this shot." when I followed a shot from front/home page. You should not see these shots on the front page if they are private.

You are right. I fixed it and it´ll be released to the site with next batch of updates.

Thanks for letting us know.

Remembering the login

On the login page there's the "Remember me" check box. Is the functionality such that if that box is checked the user is automatically logged in on that computer when he enters WAM? If so my Firefox 2.0.0.14 only remembers the login info but does not enter the site, so I have to go through the login page every time when I want to collaborate in WAM.

Geez. I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.12 and haven't had any troubles
since after the first day I got involved here.
I did try Firefox 2x, but it was so bleeding slow and memory-hoggish in opening itself (even with FasterFox Plugin) that I ripped it out, vowed *never* to use it again, and installed this older version.

I wish I knew how to help with the login problem. :(
