What is Flux Singularity?

Flux Singularity is the working title of the software being created to design and run the Transmedia properties for OMLW. The software is currently in development with the core features reaching completion.

The aim is to have the core features completed and in beta by the end of August/early September. This milestone will be a significant step in the process, as it will enable me to start the OMLW project, using it as a test bed for Flux Singularity.

I want to help, but can't figure out how? What the....???

Work on the actual story for OMLW has pretty much ground to a halt while I finish Flux Singularity. While there are a few tasks here on WreckAMovie, the main bulk of the effort required will not be possible until Flux Singularity has been completed.

How is One Man's Life Work being funded?

Short Answer: It isn't.

I'm yet to figure out how to monetize the idea of One Man's Life Work, or alternatively, Flux Singularity.

As a web developer by trade, having the facilities for hosting any associated web sites is trivial and actually doesn't cost me a great deal. It does cost me, just not enough for me to be worried about it for the time being.

The software is being developed by myself in my spare time, which isn't a great deal at the moment considering my wife just gave birth. But as things are settling down, I'm finding more time, so dev is picking up again.

If anyone has any suggestions in regards to monetization of the idea, please do let me know. But before you do, please read my post "How not to be greedy"( http://chromecide.com/2010/07/15/how-to-not-be-greedy/ ) for my views on this exact subject.

What is One Man's Life Work?

One Man's Life work is an attempt at creating a persistent fictional universe that is overlaid on the real world. Characters will have twitter and facebook accounts(if appropriate), organisations will have real world web sites. Interaction with this world will be through the characters and organisations, through web sites and eventually traditional media such as books, magazines and comics.
