Description

Hi

I am setting up my first short drama and do need some writing input. Max 10 mins including titles.

I have many ideas for scenes and characters, which I think are interesting, but need to stitch these, plus new elements, together into a cohesive whole. This is where a co-writer is required.

Structure, as well as fully creating interesting and rich characters needs some supported development.

I would like to work with a writing partner to develop a storyline - any writing credits etc believing that each person should be fairly acknowledged for the work that they have put in.

Themes
Paranormal, supernatural , UFO . Time. Abduction/contactee. Political thriller/conspiracy – all of these together ideally.

Location
Financial city of London.
London
Greenwich – a historical borough of London
Woolwich foot tunnel London
Severndroog castle Eltham ( borough of Greenwich)
Eltham Palace.

Locations or writer does not matter because by searching on the internet for major historical and tourist sites in Greenwich London, where Greenwich meantime is measured from, shows the major sites accessible for filming or for action to happen in. There is a cool line that is zero degrees of time. I thought about wormholes etc. The Greenwich Royal Observatory is where they measure time, look at and map the stars everything like that. Rich pickings in one sense.

I am hoping to make a film anyway, but I have just found out that there is the Greenwich Film Festival with a deadline for 25 June and the theme is time.

So I was wondering if someone could up with a cool story, about TIME weaving in paranormal/alien/ etc we could just make it Guerrilla-style as an exercise. I live in Greenwich borough so it would be manageable.

What do I want?
• Someone who can create a good story about time/paranormal and do so quickly

• Someone who can produce a one page synopsis so the story structure, start middle and end is crystal clear. Dialogue can come later. It can be a silent piece also.

• A writer who knows about structure and can produce a creative story that is well structured and therefore workable – ideally in the context of what makes short films good.

• Someone who can send over a treatment quickly – a neat little story with some cool paranormal twists.

Can include VFX

• Main character to be a soul-searching male in the city, has lost his finance job in the city maybe, and has a strange encounter in Woolwich foot tunnel, that opens him up to spirituality and paranormal consciousness he journey of discovery begins.

It has to be contemporary, possibly with some historical flash back, and a believable way to communicate an esoteric message.

What is the message that we need to hear?

Anything goes.
Slick. modern, intelligent. No football, council estate poor people or deprivation. This needs to be classy and sophisticated - yet metaphysical.

Government, medical profession, conspiracy, monks, priests, the church, financier turning to spirituality.

Be keen to know your thoughts either way.

Thanks in advance and if you think you could reply with an intention to produce something quickly then maybe we could get it into the Greenwich film festival.

So need a brief story overview incorporating some or all of my themes plus yours of course.

So there we are. I have put this out into the universe. Time is short ish - but could be used to our advantage as it does not allow time for procrastination.

Unfortunately because of the time I reckon we need to think about whoever comes up with the best story outline first is what we will run with - at least for the festival.

Thanks everyone in advance and here's hoping to get a mad and intriguing story.

I will try to upload the US Media ident that is a work in progress but captures the feel of my company.

Best regards and please feel free to ask anything.

Martin
Kind regards
Martin

Yeah, maybe...

I have a script that fits those themes pretty well. It's written for outside town though. Could be rewritten of course. I'll send it to you if I'll see your E-mail somewhere soon.
