Renaming regions

I just thought that Pirk has renamed must of Earth regions to other names to destroy national identitis. But the name to be accepted most place got names which they once had thousand or hundreds years ago.

Example:

France -> Galia
Spain -> Iberia
Scottland -> Caledonia
Iran -> Persia
Tunisia -> Karthago

Maybe you can give some more ideas. Also larger place could be plitted in several regions. Must important is that the name does notconatin a part of the name country at the time of conquering.

Pirkian Earth

Pirk hates when plans do not go his way. To ensure that the world functions to his needs and plans he makes Info search through the history to make use of the manipulation methods used by the rulers like Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Napoleon, Roman emperors and others. He sets up P-fleet propaganda offices, establishes a secret P-fleet police, ensures the continuation of his principles by raising Pirk-jugend... all the classical manipulation and control methods seen through history, but Pirk over does it. The secret police is so secret that even they have trouble getting their job done, there are so many people working with the propaganda machinery that the basic production suffers, babies have to wear P-fleet diapers and they are nannied by P-fleet Redshirs to make them good soldiers, there are days in calendar when the people can only use words starting with the letter P, disinformation is mixed into news to mislead resistance fighters but instead in messes up everybody...

Earth submits under Pirk's weird iron fist as he after all controls the superior armed forces. There are partisan activity and uprisings all over the place, but even they are confused by the twisted society structure where everything from communication to what color underwear is accepted at which day is over controlled, and at times begin to fight among themselves when they think that they are fighting the system.
