- A what?

Flight of T.H.E. Leviathan is an innovation of Sami Laulajainen to a feature film. Sami is the main writer - producer - director.

- People who saw Dark Star?

Yes we did and a bunch of other films. Dark Star is the first film of John Carpenter from 1974. The film takes 50 and 60 scifi and makes fun of them. It was a low budget B-film but is now a huge cult classic. It manages to bring out the worst in all of us. A total negligence of everything.

The work of Dan O' Bannon (Dark Star actor-co writer- fx - editing, Star Wars - fx, Alien Writer) has hauted me all my life, so there will be a lot of references to the good old scifi.

The shoes are big to fill, but we will hit so off key that the Leviathan is not a remake. Besides the poster log line is so powerful and meaningful that it should not be ignored.

- Who?

Sami, Paulus Parkatti, Markus Leino, Samuli Holopainen, David Jansson and lots of other volunteer help.

- How?

- Why is a part in Finnish

The film will be bi- lingual featuring Finnish and English. Sub tittles will be in both languages so that you can watch the film even if you don't understand the other language. Since the Finns are used to read, the main parts of the film will be in English.

The Film has to be Bi-lingual for story purposes, so the selection of the languages came naturally.

Also the production team is multinational so the production language is English.

- When it's going to be ready?

The second it's finished. I'm not going to push my crew any harder than is necessary. Facebook says spring 2011, because it is good to put out a date.

- How can I see Flight of T.H.E. Leviathan?

Sami is hoping to get some cinema previews and a distributor. But most likely this will end up in the You Tube with some groovy CC- licence

- How are you planning to market the idea?

Finncon Jyväskylä July 2010 will premier the film's marketing campaign. Be there or watch it from the tube.
