Hello
I just finished my production on an short film and wanted to start something new, I don't have any ideas though!
I am basiccally looking for a funny but not cheesy script o idea that can be made possible easy (not many FX, or people involved) but still challenging ( thats why I wanna make a movie, to improve my skills as a director/editor/cameraman etc.)
I have withdrawn my storyline do to the fact that I just found out he has not logged in since April 29th.

It might be too cheesy for your tastes but if you're interested you can have free hands with it. The script is not filmable as it is, but doesn't need any big changes.
It's a boy meet girl and then the other dies story, told in a bit confusing and abstract manner.
If you decide on this, I just want to be credited as the original writer and see how it ended up. :)
Why not take a classical piece of music and create a short using the music as narrative? This allows you the freedom to express either in unison with or against the drive of the music itself.
Whatever you do, have fun.
I think a cult horror film or psychological thriller will be a good candidate. This genre of movie can be pulled off with a low budget, as long as the special effects are kept to a minimum.
I'm thinking along the lines of Evil Dead, Dunwich Horror, Psycho (1960), or
The Legend of Hell House.
Another direction could be a mock documentary similar to Kids.

If you're unsure about what story to do next, maybe you could join an existing Wreckamovie production which is looking for a director, editor or cameraman?
Legends are often interesting as base:
example: At midnight people heard near the Waterbroeck churchbells ringing, who came closer never came back.
You could brew a story out of such small stories, not?
Robert Rodriguez has a very good method for low budget filmmaking, this involves making a list of everything you own or have access to which will add production value to your project.
- Locations
- Props
- Costumes
- Actors
Once you've figured out what you've got to work with you'll have a list of characters and settings to work with which is a much better starting point then a blank page.
The moment when the male thinks he's got her where he wants, proposes but does it wrongly and the woman puts her foot down with him?
Can be done well by a certain type of director only. Requires decent actors but could be worth while if done well. Script exists.
I have an idea for a short film, it's based on my life in a band back in the 90's.
