Closing NoteWe're already putting up posters, so probably time to call it a day on this task. DescriptionJani Salomaa has designed the Wreckers Gathering poster, and I've added a film strip at the side with images from various WAM productions to get across that this is a movie-related event. I've tried to choose pictures from as wide a range of production styles as possible, with a variety of colours and shapes to make it aesthetically pleasing. However, this isn't the final version, so if you have any comments or suggestions to make then post a shot. Just a few points: -Jani's already said he will add a more exact date in the final version. -If you're wondering about the snakes, this is a parody of the Jyväskylä coat of arms. -The film images were pasted in by me, they would be much neater in the real version. This task is closed. ShotsThe snakes?Shouldn't they go around the pole? Now they are clearly on top. Otherwise I like it. EDIT: I like the pharmacy theme : - WAM - medicine for indie-films
CommentsKeep it simple. It looks just fine. Fair enough about the snakes, that should be fairly easy to correct! :) I wouldn't want to add too much 3D stuff because this poster is intended to be as clear as possible at a range of different scales. Also, keeping the left of the poster simple would be a good contrast to the complexity of the filmstrip on the right. Sami, I like the look of the iPhone-like icon :) Simple and clean. I also agree with you, that they maybe should go around the pole - would add some depth to the image (even though it's not 3D image at all). Around the pole is better but there is nothing wrong in the current one. |

Ok, thanks David!
The poster isn't final, I can add that to it.
