Hear ye, hear ye: time for another task! This time we take a good look at the literary tastes of the Nazi officers!
Here's the thing: there's a small library inside the base - not larger than one or two rooms - filled with books the Nazis want to take with them to the Moon, partly to preserve German culture during the Moon era, partly to avoid boredom when not scheming for world domination. What's in there? Your examples may be either factual or imaginary, fiction or non-fiction, totally serious or tongue-in-cheek (though let's not get carried away). Please include into your suggestions the name of the book, the name of the author and a short description, something the player character might say about the book when examining it. Line examples:
"It's 'Mein Kampf' by Adolf Hitler. It's propaganda."
"It's 'The Hollow Alphabet' by some guy called Anton Süsskind. It seems to be poetry."
"It's 'Is this goodbye, Charlie Chaplin?' by Rudolf Shicklgruber. It seems to be some kind of a romance novel."
EDIT: Oh bugger, I forgot a couple of things. First of all, please mention if the book in your example is real or not; it might be important, should we decide to use your suggestions in plots. Secondly, remember that the library exists in the 1940s, so we probably can't use books newer than that...well, unless it's really, really funny to do so. Continue!
I am almost feeling guilty about this idea...
Almost.
So here go two original drawings inspired by "The Little Prince".
I hope they are not too disturbing...
Oh, and perhaps someone would be able to suggest any cool German author name and additional text that may go on the cover?
Kiitos!

I was at the fleamarket today, and found this.
My Dad (well versed in old stuff) said it might be late 30's.
It's a book about the proper application of a divining rod.
They have other books, etc there too (weather permitting).
Drop me a line if you need something (also for the movie).
H.P. Lovecraft: At the Mountains of Madness is just too hilarious to pass..
I got some disturbing ideas to you guys:
- First of all the Diary of Dr. Henry Jones, signed by Hitler in person (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade);
-To the Tigerfibel - Der Haunebufibel;
-From the Earth to the Moon, Jules Verne, yes, with a note as an example how pathetic is the French vision from travelling and living on the moon (from the German point of view, of course...);
-What the Moon Brings, from H.P. Lovecraft;
-The publication from Einstein, Bohr and Planck;
The complete "Werk" from Beethoven, Bach and Wagner (and Mendelson, Maler..) with notes and all the stuff...
-The Edda;
Sorry if I quoted the idea of someone already, as I see I already did it :)
If I stumble over something new I come by.
cheers

(the assassins book of dodgy deaths)
-A detailed compendium on the art of killing, and making it look like an accident.
(e.g. brutally slitting ones own throat with a safety razor, throwing oneself from a high window, accidentally hanging oneself with a window-curtain whilst falling out said window, falling down an elevator shaft -onto some bullets, rolling off some stairs onto a knife -75 times...)
Von Robert dem Siebenunddreißigsten (Author)
A pseudo-scientific treatise on origin of the 'root races' linked back to Hyperboria, Atlantis and Lemuria.
No Aryan library would be complete without it. It's a turn of the century 'Celestine Prophecy'
I found this on the internet, probably not real... but I tought it was funny.

Any mail lately Matti? It's been ages and should have arrived already.
I have another shipment ready, but it might not be feasible if the postal system fails. :(
So anyways, here's 'Weissagungen' (divinations or maybe prophecies) and the 13th. edition of Luftwaffe-handbook.
As an added bonus, here's two signs that could be hanging somewhere.

Oh! and his greatest "Jasager"!
I must say that the best author for this book would be H. Himmler... first of all, let the imagination go for the player straight direct to Heinrich, but never say it... Second, is the perfect choice as Himmler was one of the generator of Hitler´s success and Psyche...
Kummer & Schröder's
Der kleine Führer
Entdecke das All, und folge dem kleinen Führer!
(discover space, and follow the small leader!)
-An adaptation of the additional text of http://media.buch.de/img-adb/06595443-00-00/der_kleine_prinz_erforscht_die_erde.jpg
According to Wikipedia, the original author is Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

So maybe Anton von Sankt-Englmar?
Yes Fabienne, please!!!
Any suggestions for germanized author name and some additional text?
If there is still help needed for german names or german text...just tell me.
( By the way "er läuft jeder weiter" gives no sense)
Bwaahaha... I feel so evilly proud now...
Completely agree with the other Matti's comment, brilliant work! :D
Oh wow, no better way to kickstart a brand new week than to witness awesomeness like this :D Even though I suspect this might raise some eyebrows among the people owning the rights to Little Prince, we'll definitely look into ways of including this to the game. Thanks!
Glad you like!!! I will wait a bit more before implementing any additional text in case there are any more suggestions, but I am keeping note of everything.
This rules. On so many levels you might not even know it.
Writers could be "Müller" and "Klinsmann". Or maybe "Riedl". All classic football player-names.
If that's too much, then maybe perversions of the originals like "Kummens" and "Sculler".
Additional text, maybe something like "Er läuft jeder weiter". Not sure about the spelling.
Brilliant!
Yip! I am sick, am I not? 8)
Ha ha ha! The Little Fuhrer?
