Feedback on MyWreck

The new films page is million times better than previous one.

As I first looked the new MyWreck page it was nice to see new tasks and stuff. But here is feedback from the top of my head.

First of all for me the most relevant thing on the new page was the new task and I guess it should be on top of the page. But it was on the bottom and I found it after scrolling down.

But what is bugging me is that all the task and pointers and stuff vanishes too easy. E.g. when I clicked the new task and then returned to my wreck page the category for new tasks had vanished. And there was a third category on my page also, but can't remember what it was all about because I clicked to get a quick view and now it is not there anymore. So e.g. the behaviour could be something like this if you click a new task and give a shot to the task it could automatically vanish from the my wreck page, but if you just click and do not do anything on the task then the task should stay on your page unless you explicitly delete it.

I had a lot of things wanting my attention on mywreck page, but they barely got because they vanished from the page before I have properly woken up to think about them.

And it would be cool to see who have given the shots on mywreck page also.

Yeah test environment is always test environment and the real life happens somewhere else :)

The order seems to be cool. What would be even cooler would be that people would be able to reorder them, but this would probably open a worm can and soon we would end up creating a new myspace. And it would be much harder to maintain so I am not expecting it.

Anyway I hope you get this soon working, because the traffic is getting so high that it is hard to follow anything from the home page anymore. It used to be ok because I could fast see what has happened since last time, but now it is getting increasingly difficult.

Great feedback, thanks alot!

Now the ordering is:
* private messages
* new productions
* comments to your shots
* new shots in your member productions
* new tasks in your member productions
* completed tasks in your member productions

Testing what to add to Dashboard and on which order to show it was pretty hard because there is no real action going on in our test server and it's hard to estimate how much stuff there will be on average users Dashboard.

I write your ideas down (new tasks to the top/closer to the top of the list, not so eager vanishing, author of shot shown) and we watch what we can do.

If other people have comments on how the Dashboard is filling their needs, please comment.

"My Shots" Aren't Updating?

Is there an updating feature for My Shots I don't know about yet?
I don't do a lot of poking and prodding of the user interface in WAM.

I'd like to keep up with the contributions I've made.

Oops :) :)

The "Production," "Task," "Shot," "Updated," and "Comments"
headings function as buttons or controls.

And yes they will update.

I think I've made more comments elsewhere than shots :)

Feedback on "/productions" page

I'm new here so I don't know what it looked like before. It's looking very good now, though.

One thing I'd like to see added is a page navigator like the one at the bottom also at the top. This is a common feature I've seen on many sites. This way I can scroll to the nearest position, top or bottom, to go on.

If each production section had a "return to top" link, then any page would be only two clicks away.

This is a great looking web site; simple and clean. Keep up the great work.

Peace,

Rob:-]

Yes, very good. Go for it Vesa!

Thanks for the compliments : )

I personally dont use "return to top" -links (I push cmd+up arrow), but I would imagine that many people do. If nobody has anything against adding paginator to the top and "return to top" -link to the bottom, I'll add them.
