This is a story about a young boy named Gideon who in the beginning of the story looses his mother, young love, and half his mountain side town. He is raised by his close friend "The Architect". As Gideon grew up he learned from the architect and planned for the day he would be able to get revenge on the notorious pirate captain Cogsworth. Gideon travels for years trying to find him but eventually returns home only to find his town once again being attacked and by the same pirates as before. Gideon finds that his young love that was kidnapped is now a pirate herself. this conflict is where the love story comes into play.
