You didn't screw up at all! Im just giving the same advice Risto gave me when i first handed in some models. They may have to redo shading in Blender anyway if its not compatible. The model is there and it looks great.

Just one little thing ive noticed, can you set the shading to smooth on the edges that are needed. Ie on the knobs, the bar on the bottom right? I do this all the time in blender, which software are you using?

And the gas cap. should have been smoothed too
I use Wings3d. I prefer Wings3d over anything. Becuase I can quickly Build basic models. I like its tools presets'
You are right John.. I definently screwed up on the hard and smoothing. The top of the machine should have been smoothed.. sorry
