What i could imagine is ...

... start with (IF there is something like this, i haven't seen the movie yet) the shootout, the duel. Very slow. Only eyes, parts of the faces, at least for 30 seconds. Then a cut, the movie title, and then, very quickly, a lot of scenes, but only a glimpse of each scene. No dialogues. Don't show much, just heat things up! So that i have to see it again and again and again ...

Well I guess Snowblind just isn't epic enough for this... it's shot more like a TV show in a way, our studio just wasn't that big ^_^

But I totally agree that a bit too short is way better than a bit too long. YouTube has quite a nice analysis tool that gives you a "viewer's interest curve". This showed in the case of our previous trailers, that the average attention span for a Snowblind trailer is 1:30 mins =)

Hm, these days, i saw a trailer of the new Thor-movie. 4, 5 or six minutes of movie scenes. I stopped the player after roundabout one minute, because for me, a teaser should tell the people that there is a damn cool movie on the way, and a trailer should kick my ass and say: ok, dude, stop staring at small youtube-clips, go out and SEE THIS MOVIE. I don't like trailers with the length of a tv show telling me the whole story and showing me the best scenes of the film accompanied by the original main score theme.
...
INCEPTION might be a good example. Ok, INCEPTION is not a grindhouse-movie, but it's trailer was a sneak peak into this dreamlike world, and i think nobody really understood what it's all about. So, if you can, try to make the Snowblind-trailer a hell of a rough ride. And keep me in the dark ... i like that.

I also think the whole thing would be over after 45 seconds ;P Also, our duel isn't really THAT long. We haven't even shot close ups of the eyes... FAIL! We were sure we had done that but they were nowhere on the tapes... Oh well.
BTW you can get a short glimpse of the duel situation at the end of the Mashup-Trailer. That's basically it, only that it's much longer in the film of course. But it's not that impressive either, I'm afraid... : /

That would be cool for a teaser, not for a trailer...
