I have a few productions on my slate. I have links to co-producers and the BBC in the UK. I need a website for my company UNITED SPIRITS FILMS that mentions all the slate, mission etc. Can I ask for help from a web and VFX designer to build that site? How would I do it as it is not a "Production" as such? My aim would be to employ people who had helped for free at the beginning when works gets picked up for production. Thanks in advance Martin |

Welcome on my behalf as well! I think Sami captured nicely how you could go about creating your site in collaboration with people on here.
Right now we only have individual people and productions on here, we don't have a concept of a production company, but maybe we should look into that. Our thinking is very much about providing the productions on Wreckamovie with pretty much all the collaboration tools and services that we can. The idea is that you should be able to focus on getting the job done rather than focus on building out new websites and such.
One way for you to highlight what your company is doing would be by creating the various productions on here with custom layouts like:

these can be customized quite a bit to match your branding needs.
Also, you could then just simply link to the sites here on Wreckamovie from your own site.
And of course we are always listening and trying to incorporate whatever else you might need, we are trying to make Wreckamovie better for each release we do.

Iron sky : operation Highjump (a computer game) uses production type : "Other".
Just create a production, use synopsis as a description of the web pages overall.
Use "Task" to create different sub jobs. 2d, music, PHP-code and such. I found out that it is easier to find help for a specific task than "can you do my page". You might find, but it's easier that way.
You can use the news - section as a blog. Just remember to open a task "general discussion", because there is no forum-commenting here. Just hard work :) (you can comment the tasks, shots, news, announcements and the media you upload, but comments are is related to the main theme.)
Feel free to ask, this takes a while to get used to.
You can attach media to tasks their shots and their comments. So you can download everything, make modifications and upload it again as your shot, so remember to check that you have the rights to publish the media, when you publish.
