@Simon Horrocks: If you take a look carefully to the foreground saucer you can see the german cross (a squared black and white cross) usually used by Luftwaffe.

On the "Protect them from the menace from the sky" poster, could you get swastikas on the saucers? (Luftwaffe symbol?)
