Actually, if you're changing the flags put China in there too, then you'll have all the permanent members of the then-new UN Security Council: USSR, US, UK, France, China.

The Chinese flag of 1947 would have been this one:

yes, I ment it to be germany against the world outside, that's why I titled it as "political" :) but Kris, good idea.

Hmm... if this is meant for use on the Antarctic base in 1947, I would swap the Swiss flag for a Soviet one, and swap the Japanese one for a British one. (AFAIK Japan wasn't a military power any more by 1947.)

I thought that it is representing other world outside germany, not Axis power against Germany. And how much more better that propaganda says Vaterland is in that comparison.

It's a really well drawn poster, I love it, thumbs up! :)

The only thing that needs correcting are the flags, if you intend them as WW2 flags. Japan was an Axis power as Gert-Jan said, and I think Switzerland was neutral so it wouldn't be on the scales at all I think?

Depending on the time period you might also want to add Italy to the Axis side?

Gert-Jan Van de Voorde March 17, 2010 12:47 Flag

I wonder why the Japanese flag is with the Allies' flags, the Japanese where one of the Axis.

thanks! and thanks for the links. I was thinking to do more "hand drawn" like poster. Those links would give some inspiration
