Portable jammer

Something ocurred to me when rereading my "radio controled saucer drone" post. The idea of using a portable jammer to disrupt radio commands could be used to deal with autoturrets (although, being turrets, they probably would use wire guidance, but there could be some excuse involving problems with the cold and the wires) and any other robots that appear in the game.

The jammer would consume its battery quickly, limiting its power. It could also be quite large and cumbersome, sacrificing space for other items. For example, if the player has a slot for a second weapon in the back, it would occupy that space.

It could work as an alternative to fight such enemies head-on, perhaps even as a "stealth" approach (no heavy weapons noise to warn anyone).

Below there are some images of real life radio backpacks to suggest how it would look like:

Sounds interesting. Robots and turrets and the like probably won't be in a very central role in the game (only a couple of them in the whole base), but I don't doubt we could think of use for this, especially for the stealth-intensive campaign. :)

This would make technical sense, and it could also be a good gameplay element.
