Comment sort order confusing

I noticed that comments are ordered differently in different cases. In a shot, the newest comment is first. In news, the oldest comment is first.

It is a bit confusing and I have to always check the dates of the comments to ensure that I'm reading them in the correct order.

Is that intentional? I would suggest ordering them the same way or somehow clearly indicating the order of the comments.
