The Norwegian Ninja -team is looking for your ideas and comments. Join and show your support for Norwegian Ninja. KjempetorskYou are probably familiar with the Swedish jokes of "funny" Norwegian words, ie inventing word like "Kjempetorsk" that is supposedly shark in Norwegian. I kind of like the sound of "Kjempetorsk", it's so different (just like Norwegian Ninja in the first place. So the tagline could be something like: - no more Kjempetorsk
Anyway, just thought that it would be bit different! |

Seems like there's a lot of fish and fishing related Norwegian stereotypes we could build on. Kjempetorsk, lutefisk, whales... Maybe you could have a set of taglines related to these kind of stereotypes and also have different posters for each one. Could be a set of simple posters with a Ninja silhouette and just a powerful tagline. That could also work very nicely online, just have simple banners and text ads all over the place. And that could be used already now to drive interest for the production.
Yes. Lutefisk is even better as that one is well known all over the place. What about:
Norwegian Ninja - the last of the lutefisk
LOL
Hahaha. That's pretty damn far out!
This whole "Kjempetorsk" thing ("the "giant cod fish") is something I've actually heard about. A distributor here in Norway said he's met Swedes who've sworn on their mother's grave that the Norwegian title for "Jaws" was "KJEMPETORSKEN". (in reality, it was "Haisommer" - shark summer)
Anyway, the idea could definitely work well abroad we want to emphasize the Norwegian/comedic aspects of the movie. I.e. creating a play on words that underlines the cultural paradox of ninjas in Norway, and invoking the stereotypes.
In the US (Mid West, especially!), the tagline could be "The lutefisk stops here"...!
Or something with whales...? Vikings?
