That is truly a great sketch. I like the way its made, and how it actually seems like a realistic space station. Weapons on the outer ring sounds very cool.
It would be even more hilarious if the outer ring that hosts the weapons systems was a GREENHOUSE!
Just visualize it:
There is a ring of lush, peaceful, green gardens that surrounds the oh-so-harmless-looking EU space station.
The ever-brilliant sun shines, flowers bloom, and small space rabbits frolic happily in zero gravity amongst the artificial green hills and colorful fields...
*** BUT, ALAS!!! The Enemy is near! The Space Nazis are Coming! UFOs have begun their invasion on the Earth.
*** Alarm sounds! Huge, mean lookin' missile systems rise from their hidden positions amongst the thick vegetation!
(Oblivious of all this, the bunnies keep bouncing happily and aimlessly all around.)
*** And then the missiles break the glass that divides the ring and the space! The bunnies get vacuumed into space, as their final cry is heard: "To the carrots! Uraaaaa!!!.....
THE END
All right. I think that's far out there enough....Scrap the whole latter part of it, if (and when) it's too silly.
But the idea of a ring of greenhouses with heavy weapons could be pretty cool, if done right.
Those holes in the structure suporting the ring were ment to some kkind of missile lauching hole thingies. I admit that it doesn't come acros very clearly.
That idea placing the weapons on the outside of the ring sounds extremely cool! When the ship is firing and simultaneously the ring is turning projectiles would make cool spirals.
A fantastic and realizable sketch! It has that clean and peaceful EU-look to it. I love the ring with the EU stars!
I don't see any weapon systems, though. Maybe they oughta be placed on the outside of the ring. It would look cool if the weapons on the ring would concentrate their fire kinda like the Excavator did..

Good idea about the missile launchers in the ring. First so peaceful looking ship full of byrocrats, and then missiles start flying from the ring :)
