Häyhä's camouflage suit should be somewhat believable and practical, but bordering on superhero costume.

Yeah, and in the second draft there's going to be a perfect explanation for the flapping camosuit: when Häyhä's turn in the line comes, the army has only XL-sized snowcamos left. Accidental superhero costume!

I should probably write a better and longer treatment, this one omits too much of the finer details. The basic skeleton of the story follows the true story of Häyhä, just adding some fantasy/action/ superhero elements and supporting characters.
I would like to read your synopsis, it'd be helpful to get an outside view of the story before I start working on the second draft.

Well what i gather from the draft, and what i gather from your background, it feels like you've written book story into screenplay, ... the treatment doesnt seem to have particular "story" in it, though had some many good ideas and starting points for a story for good movie.
hmm. Almost tempted to try to write an synopsis suggestion of my own.

I like that, and the Moon Knight is a good example. Can imagine a scene with a full moon,where the russian sees him atop a cliff or something all they see is his camosuit flapping like a cloak and his eyes.
Then have the russians completely freak out ofc, add to the myth of Häyhä without actually making him a superhero:-)

You're absolutely right. I wrote a 2-page treatment and added it to drop.io for starters.
White Death > White Death screenplay - First draft > Synopsis First draft of the White Death screenplay is ready (125 pages, in Finnish). All the necessary scenes are roughly in the right order and contain the gist of dialogue and action, but details like secondary character names, places, etc. are sketchy.
