The DVD disc of Miika Ullakko's independent hit What Became of Us has just "gone gold" and into the production, slated to be released on 24th September.

The pre-orders for the DVD began 1st September at the filmmakers' own online store at http://store.mistyfriday.com and the sales have been rapid. In the first three days of pre-orders the sales exceeded the number of discs the filmmakers' previous movie, Graffiti Within, sold in its three first years, before the title was eventually acquired by a commercial distributor.

At the moment, payment methods are only limited to Finnish systems, although the disc already carries multiple subtitle languages, including English, Swedish, French and Chinese.

"We're always open for new cooperation ideas and distribution deals, and we actually have some other cool things going on that we're going to disclose soon," said Tianyi Pan, the producer of the film.
