Archetype (tentative title) > Poster > A poster We need a poster and so I have added a picture of what the zombies look like.
Note: this was originally a model from the Half-Life mod Paranoia, so you can get Half-Life model viewer, you can see the 3d model i have also provided.
Also, you can come up with your own name for the movie.
If you use photoshop or gimp, could you please attach the PSD or XCF file.
Archetype (tentative title) > Style of film > Music theme I want to make it like a documentary, I need some advice, like what camera to use, what kind of lighting style, I also need some good soundFX, and places to get fake guns. I also need custom OS's, most likley built on Linux. Just a theme for it or something. It's for the world to use so that we don't get sued.

I made this theme for another zombiemovie only to make another theme shortly after. I still like the attached theme and since it isn't used in the other film you can use it if you like. I'm also more than interested in making more music for your film
Archetype (tentative title) > Style of film > Custom Linux OS Theme by: Michael Bodalski
I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think you need to worry about a custom theme. I'm sure you could even use Apple or Window products without worry, but if you stick to a GPL GUI, like GNOME it certainly isn't in the spirit to sue.

I already have one I can use, but I wanted one just because
1) Linux is free
2) I am going to be using Ubuntu Studio (linux) anyway for editing
3) It will look cool, and give it a bigger bugdet feeling, (in many movies, they have their own custom OS.)
I will use EyeOS though.
Archetype (tentative title) > Script > If you're going through the trouble... by: Jason M.
...of having the Russians show up, why not have the main female by a surviving member of the Russian unit? It'll offer some interesting conflict if she has to killer her former comrades in order to survive and it would be an interesting twist to have a female helping the man survive. I'm not saying she has to go all Ripley on the zombies, but she can be an asset instead of a damsel.
Plus here's an idea for a twist entrance for her(just gonna make up names):
EXT. LOCATION: Docks at Dusk
DWAYNE, our male lead character, stumbles off the bow of the boat, desperately trying to avoid his zombified shipmates. He hits the landing hard, knocking the wind out of him. In the distance he can hear screams, but the words are unrecognizable to him (Russian). Dwayne attempts to struggle back up to a knee, but feels a sharp pain in his side. Looking up he sees three zombies lurching closer to him. He stands up quickly, but doubles over and falls down. Scooting backwards, he pulls himself away from the zombies until he feels his back press up against a wall. They've got him cornered.
Suddenly, three shots ring out and the zombies crumple to the floor. In their place stands a Russian soldier wearing a type of haz-mat gear. The soldier grabs a hold of Dwayne's arm and helps hoist him up. Leading him from the chaos, they disappear into the forest.
INT. LOCATION: Forest at Dusk
Stopping to take a rest, the soldier lays Dwayne against a tree and begins to quickly and roughly examine him for wounds.
Hey, hey! What the hell are you doing?!
The soldier backs off and looks down at Dwayne, they lift off the top of their haz-mat gear and toss it at his feet. Underneath it we see a plain, but slightly beautiful, young Russian woman. Her name is ALENA and she is the last surviving member of her unit.
Trying to determine whether or not I need to use my last round on you.

Also, if you're going for that hand camera look (Cloverfield, Blair Witch, etc) making the female lead a soldier can give you two visual perspectives. Some soldiers have shoulder or helmet mounted cams, so along with the male leads camera you could have two visual perspectives spliced together. For a look at how a helmet or shoulder cam was used a similar style, check out the trailer for Rec 2:
Archetype (tentative title) > Script > just an idea We need a script. Please send us ideas.
The basic plot is:
I have decided to use Phillip Whitty's idea of a change of rules, and make this film more like a documentary, or a news broadcast. It could be like people watching TV, and the broadcast comes on and says that a zombie infection has started in maybe Mexico and they think it is a hoax and maybe they change the channel in the middle of it and we see that it's real because it is on a different station. Then they say it's spreading, until finally it reaches America. Then they see the army gets there and gets overwhelmed and the people panic and leave the house, and get killed.
If you can, please make an animatic for action scenes, for this I recommend Celtx, this will make it easier to describe them.

maybe the female main could be a member of the army team that the tests were performed on and due to some genetic difference it didn't make her a zombie, in fact she is immune. She see's the cruise ship dock and watches in secret to see who it is (friend or foe) and comes to the aid of the male lead. I dunno....just an idea
