The Toll House > What is it like...to die? > Staggered shots by: Vignesh Krish
He wakes up in darkness. 'Not bad,' he thinks.
Darkness surrounds him. He senses nothing around him even in his naked state. He stands there thinking what to do. The darkness shrinks around him. He can feel his skin crawling. He takes a step backward.
Ice cold water slams him from all sides knocking the air out of his lungs. He lunged upwards to the surface and his hand broke the surface of the water. Darkness again.
'Not bad...' he thinks.
He opens his eyes. He gasps watching himself frozen, his hand extending out from the water trying to grasp something for help. His face pale he extends his hand towards his frozen self. His arms are pulled towards the water. He screams as he goes through frozen column of water down into a fire pit. He could feel the air flowing around him. Darkness again.
'Not bad...' he thinks.
He opens his eyes. Everything looks reddish. The world tinted red. Was it blood? He looks around. A single tall column of rock held him high along rivers of reddish liquid. He sees his feet, they pulse in a dark blue color and sees a shadow of something below. He looks up and falls down on the column. A ghastly pale version of himself looms overhead arms and legs outstretched as if it was falling. He stares at his frozen form. He staggers back to his feet and extends his hands towards the frozen person, curious.
He could see his arms glowing. Pain started to penetrate him. His body started to get heavier. He could feel a pulse building in himself. He tries to extend his arms towards his frozen self. He can't. The reddishness is dissolving becoming white, he looks into his own frozen eyes. The dark pupils seems to swallow him. He closes his eyes as his whole body erupts in a mass of gray disintegrating the next second.
Darkness. 'Not bad...' he thinks.

No worries at ALL!!! I believe it's the idea behind WAM. Share, elaborate modify until we have something perfect ;-)
The Toll House > Put Your Best Beast Forward!! > Personality Seeking the twisted and artistic!
We need a "look" for our Beast in his preferred demonic image! Please read the following description.
Character Development
Most of the characters In the Toll House are committed by human actors, however there are many "other" characters that have both a human aspect as well as either a demonic or angelic persona. Listed below are some of the feature characters and the background of each.
The Beast:
Once the Devils right hand man and the main antagonist of the production. The beast is the epitome of evil, the saying "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" rings true with the Beast. Originally the Devils representative in purgatory the Beast decided that he could create his own Hell and be accountable or answer to no one.
Having found a way to close the exits to purgatory and seal the entrance to only mortal souls, the Beast has surrounded himself with the the scum of human kind. Willing to do his bidding and take his abuse rather than be cast into Hell. The Beast rules the Dark Hoard with an iron fist, millions of souls have perished at his own hand. Sinister and sadistic he thrives on misery and total control.
He is a shape shifter, able to take the look of just about any human or creature, this was a gift handed to him by the Devil that was used to corrupt souls during the days the Beast roamed the earth. He now uses this power to terrorize his minions and murder the "Righteous". Although the Beast can assume any shape or form, he uses two main or true characters. The human, and the look he is known by, the Beast.
His human figure is thought to be the actual look he once had when he walked the earth as a human. Once the ruler of an ancient kingdom, he was charismatic and handsome which hid his black heart and unquenchable bloodlust. He would invade near cities, then countries burning them to the ground, murdering all men and women, he would bathe in their blood and enslave and abuse their children for his own entertainment. If the children did not accept him as their new ruler he would think up horrific ways of putting them to death, the longer it took for them to die, the more he relished it.
His reign was ended when the wife of a murdered king who escaped a recent massacre of her people portrayed a prostitute and once in the presence of the Beast, she cut his throat during the act of sex avenging her husband and her people. Although she was killed almost immediately by the Beasts bodyguards, the damage was done and the Beast bled to death within minutes.
His soul was immediately cast into Hell where the Devil impressed by the Beasts soulless acts as a human, offered him a position as a Soul Reaver. He was to walk among mankind corrupting human Souls and developing evil within the blood of man. The Beast showed such a skill at this task that evil was soon spreading on it's own accord, man spread it like a virus and it was no longer necessary for the Beast to remain earthbound.
As a reward for his success, the Devil appointed the Beast a new position, as head representative to the Devil in Purgatory. His job was to rule the dark side of the Toll House, the final court that heard the case of each and every human soul before judgment was laid down as to wether the soul would be blessed and escorted by gods angels to heaven, or condemned and most times dragged screaming for forgiveness to Hell by demons and subhumans.

We are looking for your best Beats NON HUMAN vision, satanic and evil looking to the core. Take you imagination to its darkest nether regions and design a Beast that will shake the walls of Hollywood!

We have to like your badguy. If people don't like him, it won't work. He can be ugly, scary or whatever, but he needs to drip with something that makes you say, 'You've got style.' A thin veil of slightly-snarky, cheerful, upbeat outlook that is suprisingly happy. Which should occationally be ripped aside as he casually destroys someone with the most offhanded comment.
He has to KNOW. He knows your weaknesses. He knows your flaws. He knows just where it hurts. He can see it with a glance. Be it a injured ankle, or the fact that you are afraid of Pies, he knows just what to do to make you scream. A master of psychological manipulation. Everyone who works for him has been beaten down so far they would never betray him.
He also has to be funny as well, but in an unintensional sort of way.
Example:
Servant: Perhaps we could send someone to spy on these would-be heroes. I shall turn into a snake and-
Evil Overlord (cutting off his underling): Ehhhh-no. Never turn into a snake. It never helps. Trust me on this one. (A veiled reference to Adam and Eve and the Snake)
The Toll House | Move Complete! Team,
I am glad to announce that the move to New Zealand is complete! The computers are finally set up and configured and we are getting ready to rock and roll.
I hope to have the first task for the production posted this afternoon, should everything run smoothly. I am amped to get this thing moving, there has always been something holding it back but the road finally seems clear.
Appologies to those that have been waiting for this to kick off, but this is a very important project for me so things needed to be settled before we kicked off.
The battle is about to begin .....are you ready?

Rock On! No idea how I can help, but hey, let me know.
The Toll House > What is it like...to die? > It burns... by: Niklas Lehtinen
Blackness, then the white light which makes you scream for pain, and then you start to drop down. And when you are droping down, the light comes hotter and hotter, like you are dropping to the Sun itself. You start to smoke, your clothes start to smoke, and eventually you selfcombust to the sea of flames, you scream. In the purgatory you come from the lake and you are covered of smoke, like something hot is dropped to the water, and you pass out.

I have a vision in my head, but because I'm not very good at drawing and can't use blender 3D program so well, I can't take my vision out of my head.

Thanks, for that. I have think that myself also. I have a little change to the experience: After you have selfcombusted, and you burn and scream, you come from the sky, like a meteor to the lake where you are extinguished.
And then the rest is same.

I think if you want to make The Toll House into a great horror movie, then do it with a more realistic vision. The portrait of The beast could be more human and in certain scenes, through mirrors or other reflections the viewer will see The Beast with a trail of shadowy souls following him around.
The best way to scare someone is to let the viewer imagine the real thing, because in our imagination we can turn anything diabolic and everything can be viewed as evil.
But that’s just me :) I believe a horror scene can be ruled by the director over the viewer if the scene stays realistic and the dialogue is great, and of course good actors. Look at The Joker in The Dark Knight, I’m a horror movie freak but never have I seen a stronger portrait of evil than Heath Ledger’s take on The Joker. It was brilliant. Even if The Dark Knight isn’t a horror movie it’s the only movie recently that has really convinced me that people in Hollywood can still make movies.
The Toll House > What is it like...to die? > Staggered shots Hi Team,
Welcome to the first task for the The Toll House!
Our script calls for several characters to die in a suicide pact, they wil rejoin the storyline in Purgatory.
We have an outline on the experience each character will have as they die but we thought it would be great to get feedback from all those interested in regards to what YOU think might happen when they die. The sequence should be fast paced and dramatic, possibly violent, painful, and breathtaking.
Remember, the characters that die, will live on in purgatory, what are your thoughts about the journey from being earth-bound to emerging in the afterlife?
The best sequence will be used for the script.
Thanks team!

The Toll House > Put Your Best Beast Forward!! > Soul Armor by: Justin Pradier
His armor should be made of the writhing souls of his victims, both human and otherwise.
Obviously good cliche's always work. Like a wicked sword and some killer whip-like contraption, possibly with some fast spinning blade at the end.

Hey Justin, I like the way you think :) remember the scene in star wars when Darth Vader is sitting in his cell and his helmet is being lowered into his head just as an officer walks in?
The beast could be getting ready for court, his assistant is waiting at the door as the beast shrugs a leather trench up his back, we see the skin on his back is moving and as we move closer we see his skin writhe will human forms, faces, in anguise and horror. He flips the jacket up and over his shoulders, turning slowly, we walks out the door past his aid, who has a look of revolution on his face......hmmmmm
Nice vision!

Nikias, The lake appearance into purgatory sounds interesting, maybe I can write in a drowning experience into the last seconds of the scene. I think the fear of suffocation fits well to the experience as the body transforms from the living, to the dead. Def. Something to think about! Cheers!
