SHORT SYNOPSIS
Cosco is an ex chemistry student forced into small time drug dealing by his precarious living conditions. When he meets Lao, an innovative porn film director, a deeply buried trauma begins to emerge. In that moment his body produces a creature, the “fetus”. Either a drug hallucination or a creation of his split personality, the fetus is Cosco’s last chance. Mixed up from drug abuse and devastated by the guilt he feels for his mother, who lost her mind after his father’s sudden death, Cosco plans to get rich with the substance produced by the fetus: a powerful hallucinogen that could make a killing on the drug market. But his ambition inevitably leads him face to face with the real criminal power of the city, the Spiral Corporation.
Set in an alternative present, The Naked Mask is a psycho-thriller about how repressed memories persistently come to life, unveiling the fate of those who are no longer able to see their own destiny. |
