New task: Special Effects

Hey crew,

We are 4 days from the start of principle photography on THE MAGIC STONE.

Due to budget limitations and time, we had to scale back a lot of the CGI/Green Screen work we wanted to do however, the effects we do have written in the script leave interpretation for a skilled artist to make some very cool effects.

I am looking to see/hear ideas for the transitions in the script where our main character Josh enters the mind and body of another person.

Anyone who has experience in editing, design and/or special effects, I'd be happy to review your work (online) and send you the full shooting draft of the script for your ideas.

We are shooting from Dec 1st through the 18th and will go into post shortly thereafter.

One of more people would be selected to create with footage from the film and/or other sources of media.

Please send me a link to your previous work and I will email those candidates that are potentially a good fit.

You might get a few more people involved and engaged in the production if you add some more specific tasks. And besides just looking for people, you can get some actual work done here on Wreckamovie as well, always a good idea to check out Snowblind, Iron Sky, Griffin, Norwegian Ninja, Landing and some other productions for ideas for tasks that work and engage the community. And lots of people on here that are willing to help.

John Paul, Peter is right, the way Wreckamovie works is you post very exact tasks about what you need for your film so that each task can be tackled by someone who specialises in that field. I say that as someone who is currently getting a production through WAM, and the more specific I have been with my tasks the more help I have had from the members of the site. You don't need to pay people on WAM because this is a collaborative site, it's not a recruitment site. No one pays me for my work, and I don't pay anyone for theirs. WAM is a really powerful site but you have to do things through specific tasks if you want to harness that power. :) Good luck with the production! Kris

Shoot Dates: December 1st - 18th (6 day weeks, 1 day between) Location: Los Angeles area (Upland, Hesperia, Los Angeles) We are in need of an up-and-coming hair, makeup, sfx person with HD experience for an indie feature film. THE MAGIC STONE (a supernatural/psychological thriller) an 18 year old homeless boy, raised by a violent schizophrenic mother, is given an ordinary stone by an older man who promises it will give him the power to enter and control the minds of people. The first time he touches the stone, he wakes up and thinks it was a dream. The second time, he thinks he's going crazy, developing his mother's schizophrenia. The third time, it's real...the fourth time, it's worse than anything he could have imagined.
