We are BACK in business

Posted March 17, 2010 by David Jansson 3 Thumb-ups

I have the new computer, with the new graphics card, and installed graphics driver!

And The animated part I had done on the P-fleet bridge now runs at full speed.

This also made it even more evident why I need this new computer. I have to edit the motion, because it is waaaay to fast. On my old computer it took about two laggy seconds, on the new one I can see that the motion is almost too fast to be seen.

I don't think I will get any work done today though, I feel a bit dizzy and exhausted from the stress of not knowing how well it would work after everything was installed... But now I know it works as well as I hoped. And, now I think I will go lie down. Or possibly go throw up.

Ha!

I can dream can't I? lol...

Yep. That 6 core processor was Core i7 9(something) extreme. It's same series than mine, but it has two extra cores and because I have threading, so does it too.

Dell made a computer with two Xeon processors, so that makes 8 cores plus threading. THAT'S A BEAST! Only problem is that it costs about 10 000e.

I have 4, but I don't think they are threaded. The 6 core I saw was also threaded, oh baby.....

I have 2 crappy cores XD

I have 4 cores with threading so my computer sees 8 cores.

I've seen the new 6 core's are out. Oh boy that would be nice.

I should get a new computer. I rendered Sample again and the new part looks fast!!!!! Maybe I should think about reducing the amount of the objects in the viewport...

NLA editor in the new Blender alpha don't work so I can only slow that part down in the IPO editor!!
