It's been a while since I last posted on this page. Since my last post, a few things have changed in terms of the development. Firstly, we have changed the name of the series to Galaxy Novus: StarPol. It had been brought to our attention that the StarPol name had already been used in the form of children's books by author Stephen Tully. Hence the addition of Galaxy Novus. This allows us to still use StarPol in the name without the breach of copyright laws. Secondly, we have set up a production forum to discuss concepts and ideas for the series. This includes any ideas regarding life in the 32nd Century. Anyone interested can join us here - http://forum.galaxy-novus.com

Update, Since I'm having some issues posting pictures on the Starpol Dev fourm I thought I put a few newest ones up here. 1) Rec Dome 1 (1 of 3-5) 2) Ship Control Towers (Center tower as Bridge? but still open to where and what it can look like.) 3) General look. (Note side bay is smalled and now goes through the ship to the other side.) Side bay is for general service ships and transports. 4) Emergency Action bay. Holds police and emergeny ships aways on station ready to go at a moment notice. 5) Main police Bay. Holds police ships and used to process perps. 6) Ship windows. (Glow for dark shots.) I will add some different shaped windows too.

Because this is a sci-fi series, we are looking for concept artists to help us with original alien/futuristic designs.

I'm getting closer to finishing the mothership/police station.

Pic with ships logo added.

I've taken so long for two major reasons.

1) The new version of the software I'm using has some major bugs. It's taken me a while to work around them. (I'm not sure if or when it will get fixed.)

2) Some details are needed for later animation. (Like the transparent docking bridge. Thanks for the idea Brian.{I think he was the one to post the idea on Starpol forums. I'm sorry if I'm wrong on who it was.) It's using a force fieild like the one holding in the air on the internal docks.

So now for a few more details. I'm adding more lights, light effects, a few more gimbles, more logo's and windows.

I'm now wondering about weapon systems. Since it is a police ship it should have some. Maybe not a battleship level but a few defensive batteries and a few offensive ones.

I would like any ideas anyone has. (On weapons or anything else related to the model.)
