Status Update Jan 2010
| Posted January 17, 2010 by Thierry Gschwind 5 Thumb-ups |
Long time we haven't released any news about Star Wreck 2pi. Since the Tampere shooting we had three more shoots for additional scenes.
And one or two will follow to replace bad shots or shot that don't work anymore or don't work like intended.
Crew of the 14.11.2009 shooting
At the moment we're working on the space shots, since we havn't the edit completly reday to start on the greenshots. Most efeect the main action is more or less animated, so we can generate easy preview which can be used in the movie until the effect is finished.
Dramakulian Attack the Twsiter ships which have hidden in a planetary ring.
Twister-2 crashes in a ring asteroid after colliding with a Dramakulian cruiser. The effects still looks cheesy and is WIP.
The first wave of P-Fleet attacks the Dramakulian at Earth.
The edit will nearly finish. We will soon create some task to judge the edit of all scenes. Because this is sensitive, it will only be available to Insiders. (Like the current Pirk/Dwarf shoot evaluting taks)
If you want to want to be able to see and participate in these task, you have to make a contribution to Sw2pi (just being a member of the production is not enough). If you have already done something (like a poster or so), but aren't Insider, send me a message.
We will make a teaser sooner or later, but that isn't on a high priority on our list.

Looking good!
Great work Thierry. Looking forward to seeing more, as always! :)
Looks great! I think a teaser would be a good idea, but understand it's not that high on the priority list. Could help in driving attention and interest to the production though.

This time it's about the stunt shooting for Star Wreck 2pi:

Brilliant!
As always, thanks for sharing! :-)
Great stuff! And seems like everybody was having fun too!
Hahha that's great. Better than the Snowblind stunt shoot actually! What a great idea to do it in a gym... We rented one of these giant matresses from a school and dragged it into our studio... what a fight... when it's just so much easier to go into the gym than making the gym come to you!
Well.. You live and you learn ;P
That group usually train in that gym, so my sister (who is part of it) just brought the greenscreen and the camera.
Great jumping! I'm really looking forward to seeing that in the final piece.
InsideOut Ep.5 - Pirk and Dwarf

Here is the next InsideOut Episode. This time it's about the shooting with Samuli as Emperor Pirk and Timo as Commander Dwarf.

The Saga is going on :-)
Nice to see Samuli & Timo again in their original costumes.
Dario, they both got back into character really really quickly during filming. Timo went virtually straight into character with no warming up. :)
As always great work Thierry, and thank you for sharing this with all of us!
Great job guys and gals filming the SW: 2pi! The memories of filming SW: ItP came to mind very vividly :)
