Production Update #1

Posted December 08, 2011 by Kalle Max Hofmann 0 Thumb-ups

Dear Stargazers,

we have now completed the rough cut for Episode One, which runs for 23 minutes. We have chosen Mars and Neptune to be the first two planets to be introduced, or "visited" =)

This choice is grounded in our "story arc", if you want to call it that, so I hope it will make some sense in the end.

Also, some of the most beautiful "sun cribs", nebulas with star-forming areas, are a topic.

Having the rough cut means we also have selected all the basic imagery for the episode, now these photos (mainly from NASA) have to be processed for use in the 3D environment, and lots new images have to be created on that basis.

Then we have to shoot the show's host of course, but he haven't really decided when and where to do that. First, we will finish some of the 3D scenes to make a little trailer. Hopefully, this will help us gain more support (by getting better prices at a studio for the shoot for example).

We are also very happy about the great participation here on Wreckamovie! Keep up the good work, people :D

Cosmic Greetings,
Kalle Max ^_^

No problem Samuli, I know how it is ^_^ I also had a lot of work recently, so I couldn't do as much Solar System Stuff as I wanted. On the other hand, it means I can finally afford a new computer so from here on, everything should be more fun :D

Also, so far we have only edited the thing so that means the actual graphics havn't been produced.

And there still is the possibility to use "To Mars" as a bonus feature for a disc release of SS3D =)

Unfortunetly To Mars is not up to the task atm. I am overtaxed by other things (but still hoping to get it rolling). In fact i have some fears for it. I am running constantly out of time to "get down with it".

Just thought this because your first stop seems to be Mars. (allthough still bit confused about whats what).

Good to hear its progressing though.
