I just saw the preview for tomorrow's show and it was all about Snowblind. They even said officially that this is the first German green-screen-feature and that it's headed for theaters. Great stuff!

Great job, let's hope they mention the url http://wreckamovie.com/snowblind ;-) Very easy for new wreckers to sing up now that we have the Facebook Connect going. Why not ask all your fans on Facebook to do that and you could beat Norwegian Ninja in the race to reach 100 wreckers...

Press Roundup

Posted August 24, 2009 by Kalle Max Hofmann 3 Thumb-ups

Hello everyone,

last week we started our "press assault" and contacted numerous websites, blogs, magazines and even TV and radio stations all over the world... Asking them to drop some lines about Snowblind.

Obviously, internet media were the fastest to respond, so here's a little roundup for you:

io9.com:
http://io9.com/5343825/snowy-apocalyptic-biker-cowboys-race-flying-cars

bigdumbobject:
http://bigdumbobject.co.uk/

MovieCrypt:

Quiet Earth:
http://www.quietearth.us/articles/2009/08/13/Winter-was-never-this-hot-Germany-goes-green-screen-in-PA-western-SNOWBLIND#extended

Of course the responses are mixed, can't please everyone ;-)

So now it's up to you guys to post raving comments on all these and other sites - if anyone has ideas who else could report on Snowblind, especially your local non-english websites and blogs, please tell us, or contact them yourselves! We could really use all the help we can get... so hit us with your ideas, suggestions and comments :D

Oh yeah and everybody join our facebook network, "favourite" the trailer on YouTube and drag everybody you know here to join wreckamovie and work with us on this fun project ^_^

Thanks,
Kalle-Max ^_^

ps: This is also a task now, see http://www.wreckamovie.com/tasks/show/522

That's a great start! Noticed the trailer is getting a nice number of hits too, great stuff! Let's see if we can get a bit more going;-) Still a few views needed on YouTube to hit a million...

Hi guys maybe you should make another trailer and without to much.

Kalle Max Hofmann November 15, 2009 14:59 Flag

Well... There'll probably be a new trailer for Christmas :D

Peter Vesterbacka November 15, 2009 20:59 Flag

If you do a new trailer, let's make it a bigger media event as well! I'm sure we can get a bit more visibility if we start planning and brainstorming it now.

Kalle Max Hofmann November 16, 2009 14:14 Flag

Sure we're open for all ideas! Our own don't seem to work too well as last time, the media resonance was practically zero (at least from the traditional media side)...

Peter Vesterbacka November 17, 2009 13:38 Flag

I have lots of ideas. And sometimes it helps if it's a non-local person involved, all the way from Finland for example;-) And we position this as part of wrecking Hollywood, part of the revolution. Taking place all over the globe and Snowblind is a great example that it's happening big time in Berlin, Germany as well. Not a lot of time before Christmas, when do you think would make sense? Or should we give ourselves more time and shoot for something in January instead?

Kalle Max Hofmann November 18, 2009 23:57 Flag

Well actually the next trailer is kind of an intermediate until the final trailer is done - which is supposed to happen in early February, when the film will also be finished <(if everything goes according to plan)> hehhe. So we could also make the BiG plans for the final trailer...

Peter Vesterbacka November 19, 2009 12:04 Flag

OK. Might be best to do the BIG plans for the final trailer, but also good to think about what can done in between. Let's think about it.

Us, Iron Sky and Star Wreck on MovieCrypt News!

Posted August 18, 2009 by Kalle Max Hofmann 1 Thumb-up

Guys, we are on MovieCrypt!

No, Snowblind is not dead yet - on the contrary, the site's host Grim D. Reaper gives a great explanation of our concept! In only 9 lines, he manages not only to sum up our endeavour absolutely spot-on, he also name-drops Iron Sky and Star Wreck in there as well!

So return the favour and visit his page - somebody ought to drag that old skeleton here to Wreckamovie as he really is a highly skilled writer!

Thanks, D. !

Selling Snowblind Frame By Frame: New Video!

Posted August 16, 2009 by Kalle Max Hofmann 1 Thumb-up

People,

our concept to finance Snowblind's post production is an improved version of a donation - Like some people sell pixels off on eBay, we're selling off the individual film frames of Snowblind - potentially putting YOUR name on the DVD ;-)

To give a better explanation what this is about and allow a little insight into the making of the film, we've put together a little video.

Check it out on YouTube:

And leave your thoughts in the matching thread:
