Things to make and do
| Posted October 26, 2009 by Kalle Max Hofmann 3 Thumb-ups |
My dear fellow wreckers,
we don't have that much time to post stuff here as we used to, as we're just in the middle of our extremly hot post production phase. Still, that doesn't mean your opportunities to participate in the film have ended - Au contraire, messieurs!
Fun for everyone is to check out loads of new screenshots in our post production blog:

Some of them also sport the paint strokes and ink blots we're using to make the look even more graphical - please feel invited to discuss the film's look and suggest other ways to make it even more graphic-novelish in this task:

Of course, we're always looking forward to more fan artwork (or even fan artwork turning into "official" artwork, hehhe ;-) If you don't know which end on a brush is up you can still be creative by inventing new taglines for the existing cool posters by Jani:

And if you're really keen on getting your name into the film's closing credits, you can push our publicity and become a marketing buff or contribute photos that still might make it into the film.

So as you can see, there's a lot of things to make and to in Snowblindland - so get to it, maybe listening to some Moloko while your at it ;D
Cheers,
Kalle-Max ^_^
10.000 Trailer Views!

The Snowblind trailer has hit a 10.000 views on YouTube! Yeehaw!!!
Thanks are due for the Wreckamovie community who have directed zillions of viewers to our clip, especially in the form of the Iron Sky blog. Another big contributor who should be credited is io9.com - let's keep that sci fi banner flying!
THANK YOU
:D
Editing for Snowblind is finished!
| Posted October 02, 2009 by Kalle Max Hofmann 2 Thumb-ups |
My fellow Moviewreckers,
today the Snowblind Team is proud to announce that editing work for the film is done. Snowblind is now 94 minutes long, excluding title cards and end credits. So the final length at the end of post production will be approximately 97 minutes, which means the theatrical version (which runs 4% slower at 24fps) will be about 101 minutes long.
This looks good on paper, and it's even better in motion. During yesterday's screening, we all thought the film is just the right length - no boring bits, there's lots going on and this range doesn't only cover sex and violence (both on moderate levels) but also great moments of humor and sincerity.
We'll use the following weekend to online all the needed material from HD-Cam tapes and from next week on, compositing work will be in full tilt. Our office is also starting to get crowded as we've recruited some more digital artists that are happily wrecking away here, making fast progress.
All this taken into account, the chances of a premiere in next January are really GOOD :D
Cheers,
Kalle-Max ^_^
