Gilded Evil > Blog: New title

The first title Seduction of tamed evil didn't actually make any sense so the movie got a new title, Gilded Evil! The movie is now in pre-production, hopefully we can get permission to film on location in a church. It could be tricky but we'll try :)

I can do fire effects. In a mouth, I'd have to experiment, but I'm sure I could. Couple questions, though. What other effects would be requested? Are there any set down? Or is the writing still in-progress? And where is this movie being made? I am an actor as well as a VFX artist, and the concept captivated me instantly.

Sounds interesting, but I live in the USA, and there's no way for me to get to Finland. Hope that doesn't cut me out of helping.

Yes, but then of course to try and make it look even better :) We're having a production meeting now in the week with the crew here in Finland how to put everything together exactly and to figure out a way to get permission to film in a local church. To be honest, I think that's the biggest problem on this production.. I noticed that I had written Cain with K earlier, sorry :) In Rise of Legion the basic idea circles around the story of Cain and Abel and how evil was born, but we're telling the story from our point of view, that is was God's will that commanded Cain to murder Abel so the conflict between men could begin... and later on in present day Cain will be unleashed by Legion to have his vengeance on God. So in a way Seduction of Tamed Evil is not only a test and a short film, it's also a little preparation for us on how will the audience react to our point of views on not only the Cain and Abel story but also the whole Apocalypse theory from the bible.

Hm. I'll check the YouTube movie out when I'm not on dial-up. Is that the type of fire in the mouth you're looking for?

The script is already written, I'm sure a couple of changes will be made. The movie will be made in southern Finland. There will be in the end of the movie a scene where the demon Legion reveals himself in a priest and how everything changes in him, his voice, his face will really show what the fire in Hell has done to him and then he unleashes the wrath of Kain into the keycharacter Alex and we can see how he changes when the fire and Kain's spirit enters him, still trying to figure out how to visualize that scene :) There is video on youtube by the band Behemoth, very good video but the music is a little over the top :) anyway, when he sings at one point, a fire can be seen in his mouth, very cool :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHhZ2LThpv4 The movie is in swedish and maybe a little latin because in Rise of Legion, latin will be spoken quite a lot. Simple questions! Makeup: Who wants and can do a full body makeup to create Lucifer? VFX: When Lucifer speaks, burning fire can be seen in his mouth :) and a lot of other cool stuff to experiment with?
