Importing problems with Blender. (fixed)

Posted December 17, 2010 by Daniel Saarimäki 0 Thumb-ups

I have the setup for scene 7 fight 1 ready, but now I have problems. If I try to import anything to 2.5 from a blend file, it either goes blue (link) and I can't do anything to it or it loses all it's materials (append). I got also other problems with appending so it isn't so good choise. What should I do?

Do also note that the new Proxy stuff behaves differendly in comparison to 2.4x.

Action scenes

Posted December 05, 2010 by Daniel Saarimäki 0 Thumb-ups

I have gotten some new actors so I would not like to let them wait too much. The first scene is currently a bit stuck, because of lagging. I'm going to try my skills making action scenes and make a random fighting scene from the middle of the movie (I can add as much of them as I like and make them just as I like because they aren't described on the script).

I'm trying to avoid lagging by adding only the soldier and the main objects to the scene and adding the most complex things when animating is done.

Scene:
First fight with the robots without cars. (Scene 7 in the script)

Actors:
Sample, assistant, captain and other soldiers (check out the profile task)

What's happening:
Soldier group attacks a hall and fights against about 50 robots. When they get to the other end of the hall, mutants start pouring in. Group goes thorugh the door, but it gets stuck and one member of the team (the last man alive from the alpha team) doesn't make it. Instead of screaming, he lifts his shotgun and prepares to purge the mutants. END. SCRIPT COMING SOON
