Aaron Agassi gave a shot "Life" for Rogue Earth

Rogue Earth > Mercury encounter > Life
Will the encounter with Mercury come after that with Venus on the way inward towards the Sun, or before an encounter with Venus to come only on the way outward from the Sun? The dwellers on Mercury are silicon life, comfortable at temperatures of molten rock instead of liquid water. What will be the problems caused for both worlds by the encounter, and how can they be overcome? Obviously, the Earth will need timely protection from the heat so close to the Sun!

By the time of the calamity http://www.wreckamovie.com/shots/show/5223 primitive silicon life has newly been discovered deep within the magma of the Earth. Lava from an eruption is swept into space by the gravitational beams causing perturbation to the orbital trajectory of the Earth and Moon about the Sun, and effectively seeding silicon life onto the surface of Mercury. Because of the time dilation on Earth and the Moon, intelligent silicon life has adapted to Mercury by the time of Earth encounter.

Rogue Earth > Mars encounter > Progress
The third encounter will be with the planet Mars. Who or what will be living on or near the planet Mars? What will be the problems caused for both worlds by the encounter, and how can they be overcome?

The Mars base has grown into a great civilization, terraforming Mars.

Rogue Earth > The calamity > time dilation and ramifications
This task is in working out the details of how mysterious gravitational beams or waves from deep space, or perhaps even from another adjacent space-time continuum, modify the orbital trajectory of the Earth/Moon system, inward to slingshot about the Sun, so as then to shoot on outward along a grand tour of the Solar System, during the next planetary alignment. -And how all of this comes to pass on Earth and on the Moon...

An additional effect of the gravitational waves that modify the Earth/Moon system's orbital trajectory, will be time dilation: Untill the near passing gravitational beams stop, time on the Earth and on the Moon will slow, relative to frames of reference elsewhere in the Solar System.

EDIT: This means that from the Terestrial/Lunar frame of refference, the Solar System has jumped from 2152, the year of the next planetary alignment, into the future, indeed, to the year of the following alignment: 2327, all virtually over night!

What is the future Earth like, even before the calamity?

Society and technology have advanced. The Transhuman era is well under way. Oppression, poverty, aging and death, are all things of the past. And this has impacted lifestyle. The 60's will seem so tame by comparison!

New civilization flourishes in the deep ocean and the Moon.

There is an International Mars base.

Rogue Earth > When is the next planetary alignment? > The next planetary alignment...

I'm not sure all 9 planets can ever *exactly* align, because the orbits are slightly tilted (and Pluto's incredibly so). However, if I remember correctly, the Voyager missions were launched to take advantage of a rare alignment of the planets that only takes place every 175 years. Voyager 2 was launched on 20 August, 1977, and followed 16 days later by Voyager 1. That would make the next alignments take place in 2152, 2327, 2502, and so on... http://coolcosmos.ipac.caltech.edu/cosmic_kids/AskKids/images/voyager2_path.jpg

Thanks very much! I might not recommend the very first near future possibility, only so as to afford time for Post Human migration and population of the Solar System. That's how there can be encounters with veritable aliens and strange cultures on every planet. Or, then again, have they been out there all along, unsuspected by us? Or perhaps, time dilation will be a factor somehow?

When is the next planetary alignment, the time in which 'Rogu Earth' must be set?

Rogue Earth > Build it, and they will come. -NOT > Build something and they will come :)

David is right, you need to do more yourself if you want other people to join your production. Just asking for help is not enough to get a production going. You have to show other people that you have been working on it yourself, so that they will be inspired to help you. The more work you put into the production, the more help you'll get from others. Tell ya what, Pilgrim: I've become a believer more in reciprocity than meritocracy. So why not just tell me what I can do for you, personally: Then you can repay me the favor without feeling cheated.

Upload if not completed candidate picture posters, then sketches, descriptive concepts or image elements that might be montaged and manipulated.
