The way we compose together

If you have any questions about the composing, just contact Markus Fagerudd, our composing operative who is guiding the community in composing tasks.
Here shortly how composing is happening here: according to a task you may compose an entity, or those part of the task you find most interesting. The main thing is that you compose the way you feel it should be. You may also send in sketches of music, everything is valuable.
We are composing a pianoscore at the moment. This means vocalparts+piano. Please use a notation software you prefer. You can send in files with the free download program Musescore. You can also send in Sibelius and Finale files. Files from other notation software should be sent in as pdf + mp3.
Markus operative will gather and put together the material that you all contribute with. Then we can together still improve it according to the ideas and comments you share us all.
Best, on behalf of Markus, Päivi
Hi all Writers of Free Will!

I thought I could write a little about the process of writing the libretto as a community .
The ideal is that as many people as possible take part in the writing. Everyone is warmly welcome to participate in each writing task!
Usually we work the text scene by scene, but the length of the text is entirely up to each writer. It's OK to write the whole scene or just fragment of it. Or You can simply suggest a change in the scene or give feedback to other members.
As a writer I know that it's sometimes scary to go from the brainstorming part to the actual writing part, but I also know that when you cross that line it can be the most rewarding and fun part of the job.
My job as the libretist is to help You in the process, to give feedback and discuss different alternatives. After the deadline of the task I gather all the material and make a suggestion for a scene based on it. But this doesn't have to be the final version, all the material is open for discussion until we make the final version of the whole opera including the words and music.
I'd also like to remind you that if you're material ends up in the final version of Free Will, You're name will be linked to You're work and mentioned in the list of writers.
We'd love to work with You!
Best,
Iida
