As with any similar project, this one goes nowhere without a script!

Therefore, this is where we can discuss just that.

With that, the basic idea of the video re-visited...

STYLE:
The overall idea discussed in the original brainstorming of this project produced the idea of a music video with the feel of a highly sensationalized sports competition (football, car racing, etc.). The main plot revolves around three distinct, customized battle tanks working as a team to take on an extreme, "uber-tank" bristling with weapons, armor and all things "tank".

As to "realistic" or "stylized," or "cartoonish" art design, this is open to suggestion. I personally think the video can easily be realistic or cartoon/manga/anime/etc. in style and carry off the intended effect.

SETTING:
The "world" in question is not of prime importance, it is purely fictitious, and a post-apocalyptic style was suggested. The main criteria is that there is technology to create a high-thrills televised sports program, as the video will be a mix of "sports program broadcast" and on-the-spot, live "drama clips".

The battle "arena" could be any number of things, but it was suggested that it be in an arena that is essentially a massive blast crater with grandstands built into the walls for spectators, team tank "garages" where each tank is housed when in repair or between game sessions, etc.

Each of the three "team" tanks are briefly defined by the song lyrics with:

Tank 1 "Armored Plates": This tank is decked out with defensive material - armor, etc. Not to be bruised by the strike of just any everyday cannon fire...

Tank 2 "Great Big Gun": This tank is "all gun," armed with an outrageously massive cannon... if only it can hit on the first blow, and decimate its target!

Tank 3 "Hugest Treads": A powerhouse of bowl-'em-over smash-'em-in-the-dirt steam-roller tank-i-tude.

Tank 4 "I am My Tank!" This tank is the mega-tank: monstrous, stacked with power and armament, the creation of a crazed mechanic-scientist who's own robotic minions went nuts and took down their creator, removed his brain by force, and installed it in the tank, making the Tank and Creator one and the same!

Each of the first three tanks has its own cheerleader "tank babe" female, scantily clad to add a cynical sort of sex appeal edge that is pinned to sports programs, and unique commander, distinctly his own style:

Commander 1: *Extreme Military Figure": Military uniform, this commander shows strongly his/her military nature in image.

Commander 2: Hell-Raising Ruffian: A character from a Mad Max movie, the imagery of Biker-meets-Punk Rocker-meets-Plain Bad-Ass Dude (Dudette)

Commander 3: Open for Discussion: This tank commander could be anything so long as he/she fits the bill of "Tank Commander" for one of the three "team tanks"

Of course, the "Uber-Tank" is built by a character that looks in some way like a Mad Scientist-meets-Mechanical Genius. He gets taken out by his equipment, with only his brain in a jar, installed within the depths of his mad tank creation.

Yes, a lot of this is spelled out in some way, *but the project as a whole is up for discussion and revision."

Ultimately, the goal is to create a crazy, fun and brutal music video between 2 and 3 minutes long. The song itself is 1:55 minutes long, but there will be room for a prelude part which features the demise of the mad scientist and implanting of his brain into his creation.

That said... Let's talk "Script!"
