Thierry Gschwind filmed a surprise interview that Peter Vesterbacka did with me at the Wreckamovie Festival, here's the video (though it contains no real surprises for production members):
Wreckamovie Festival 2010
| Posted July 19, 2010 by Matti Delahay 5 Thumb-ups |
Back to work again after a weekend at Wreckamovie Festival, the indie/crowdsourcing movie/game/you-name-it -event arranged together with Finncon. Operation
Highjump had a stand at the upstairs of Ilokivi and in the movie theatre downstairs: we handed out brochures as well as premiered our teaser trailer and some promo comics that cover parts of the backstory of the game. Delightfully many people visited the stand during the two days, it was great to meet some of our long-term members face to face and to chat with a lot of others as well. :)
A big thanks to everyone who visited our stand and naturally to the brave and diligent souls who arranged the event! If you missed the Festival (or are already feeling nostalgic), you can see a glimpse of our stand (and of me) it in the quick video of the event Kris uploaded in youtube:
For a more comprehensive recap of the event, see Kris' closing news item for the Festival:

*smiles and claps hands*
hmm... want to see the comics...
Markus: They'll be up as soon as I get green light to publish them online! Can't give an exact time yet - there's still a final bit of bureaucracy to deal with - but I'll post a news item on it when the time is right. :)
Kris: True enough, you can catch a glimpse of the comics in the video, and I've got a brief video clip of our stand that shows them a bit better still that I'll also upload soon.
The comics are clever because they've been done with a 1940s style choice of colours, as if they were genuinely printed in the period covered by the game.
You can see the colours at least in the video above, they're on the table next to Matti at 02:28.
Can not wait for the trailer and the comics! Hoping to see them soon.

Kris: Thanks, I don't doubt we will. :)
Spencer: Yes, that would be me.
Awesome!
So would you be a Community Manager for Operation Highjump then?
Matti, it was nice to see you, and I hope you tour some more events with that stand, it looked so good.
Thanks! It was nice being there, you all did great work arranging the Festival. :)
*smiles* Pretty nice interview! And once again, thank you for exhibiting your awesome game at the WAM Festival. The banners really made it all look very professional!
Just noticed that Peter describes the game as a console game at one point - as said before it'll be coming out on PC first and possibly on some consoles afterwards.
