Status update for June

Posted June 29, 2010 by Matti Delahay 5 Thumb-ups

May was busy enough to pass really quickly, I can hardly believe it's already been a month since the last status update.

Levels
We've got the first to-be-playable level more or less furnished now, still lacking some small props. We've also tested AI waypoints and done loads of stress tests of the level in the game engine, testing different possible camera angles in terms of playability and frames per second.

Plot content
...on the other hand, has progressed with a bunch of new NPCs, new plots and hundreds of lines of dialogue for the first playable level.

Graphics
Graphics have progressed at a great rate now! Risto has made a nice bunch of character models and Hannes has produced loads of props and items to fill the levels with. Our 2D-artist Anayte has been working on character pictures and some of those cool promo thingies I might have mentioned before.

General stuff
It's really warm here, wish I hadn't spent all my money on games I don't have time to play so I could afford something to drink. :S Tomorrow we're finally moving back to our main office from the temporary quarters we've stayed at for the past two months - just as we were getting used to the new place. From the weather forecasts it looks like it's going to be a hot day too, luckily there's only so much stuff to carry. :)

Sounds promising!

Reading between the lines, I sense that the game project is going on very well and the team is doing great as well.

Talked with some of the guys here at Energia Productions office and they are intrigued about the game taking place before the timeline of the movie. Its a great idea in general and we all hope that the game will succeed and flourish!!
