We are many!

Posted March 22, 2010 by Matti Kortet 5 Thumb-ups

A historical day has fallen upon us! Behold: Wreckamovie's Operation Highjump now has one hundred members! Hooray! Virtual beverage of choice and a piece of delicious cake for everyone!

There are no words for how awesome this is. We here in the production team are almost moved...thank you, everyone, for your interest and your hard work for common good. Your input is valued...no, treasured! And we quite possibly wouldn't be here, at this point in history, without you. Thank you.

Now, back to work: no further breaks until the one hundred million member is reached! :D

Jonas: I suppose I must forgive you then. :D

Hope you enjoyed the (imaginary) cake everyone, you'll (probably) have to wait until 1000,000,000,000+ members before we can afford more (since all of our imagining processing power is spent planning cool plots for the game). :P

*takes bite from now stale piece*
Comgraphulations! Nom nom nom!

I´m so sorry. But wasn´t my fault. Kortet told me to do it.

Matti Delahay March 31, 2010 08:57 Flag

Oh no somebody cut the cake, I told them to wait. :(

Jonas Hesslöw March 31, 2010 08:31 Flag

ohh it´s so delicios Angela...Please, take a bite ;)
No? come on, it´s good for you.

Angela R. March 31, 2010 06:16 Flag

Yes... Yes... eat the cake, dear... bwaahahahaha...

Jonas Hesslöw March 30, 2010 11:15 Flag

Well, okay. I guess just a little bite wouldn´t hurt.

It´s just that...I used to work at the B.M.C.F (Black Mesa Cake Factory)
and that has made me somewhat suspicious to cakes of other brands.

But it´s looks so delicious and moist. And that dark chocolate swartiska surrounded by the white vanila and bloodred strawberry is simply lovely.

I think I´ll share it with my friends too, they LOVE cakes.

Jonas: I think you might be confusing us with some other evil mastermind, luring its pawns with promises of cake to do its bidding, lurking in the shadows in its guise of a playtest observer, watching its Xanatos Gambit inevitably unfolding in its sinister glory. No, our cake is very much real and moist and delicious, with only a trace amount of nerve gas in its frosting. Have some. Go on. We know you want some.

Jonas Hesslöw March 29, 2010 17:25 Flag

The cake is a lie ain´t it?

The Iron Sky movie will be ready in 2011, the game should be ready before the movie if everything goes well. Let's invite some more people to help out with the game!

Yan Pagh March 23, 2010 18:03 Flag

When is the movie going to be ready?

Matti Delahay March 23, 2010 12:24 Flag

Thanks to all members on my behalf as well, very cool to be working with you all!

Peter: Yes, let's. :)

Peter Vesterbacka March 23, 2010 04:57 Flag

That's a great start! And you reached 100 pretty fast too. Let's add one more zero;-)

Another progress report

Posted March 15, 2010 by Matti Delahay 3 Thumb-ups

As you might have read in our earlier updates, last month saw a whole lot of work done. This month has started pretty well too - It's been very busy, but I think I can safely say we've achieved some nice things. :)

While last month we worked a lot on the general design documentation (gameworld and basic game features), this month we've been working even more hands-on on the actual game mechanics and content.

We've started work on more detailed planning of the main storylines (they are starting to look pretty nice), polished and tested the dialogue system (which will be an awesome tool for storytelling), fleshed out character modeling (both player and non-player) in more detail and written a lot of various content for the game. We've also drafted plans for our website to have one more place for Highjump-related info and promotional material - stay tuned, we'll announce the site launch date in the near future.

Though we haven't had time to hang with you here at WAM as much as earlier, we're reading through everything here even though it sometimes takes time before we find the time to comment. We also do our best to get new tasks up now and then to keep you people busy too. :)

That is good to hear, Fraulein A. I would be most saddened if we were forced to take action in this matter.

Angela R. March 19, 2010 11:24 Flag

Of course it is! :P I was just rambling, disregard that... ;)
